Not to mention the other black Catwoman 18 years ago.

In fact, the number of live action black catwomen now equals the number of white catwomen at 3 each.

Julie Newmar
Michelle Pfeiffer
Anne Hathaway

vs

Eartha Kitt
Halle Berry
Zoe Kravitz
So when will we get black superman?!

Or pakistani bane?

Its about time.

Yep. He just didnt demand a presence. Penguin did a bit more, but this movie wanted to be Se7en pretty badly.

That said, Dark Knight was so good because our villain was in front of the screen a lot and dominantly delivered. Riddler looked scary when covered and not saying a thing. Shit, i couldve been in the outfit.
When he spoke it was comical and a caricature of being maniacal.

Just disappointing all around and im seriously wondering how im in the minority here.
It wasn't a masterpiece for me either. While this was an I interesting take on batman I didnt end up liking him just walking around like a cosplayer. Batman is supposed to be a ninja but in this he is just a brawler who walks through gun fire. The movie had a lot going for it but just wasn't the right batman or me.

I thought I liked this riddler until the end when we really met him. Why the hell do actors think they have to go over the top just because they are playing someone crazy? They had that saw/seven vibe going and then killed it with the silly shit.

Good movie but not great imo.

unfortunately...PG-13 for box office reasons.

People can still be killed in pg-13 movies. It would have made the overall situation much more intense if the mayor ended up actually getting killed. She wasn’t even relevant to the plot.

I personally believe she wasn’t though mainly for woke reasons.

Bella Real? Yeah, I totally thought she bit it during the campaign rally. Glad she survived because I think she is supposed to represent positive change within the corrupt political system. My guess is she will be the one to get Bruce to get out and do more philanthropic work in the sequel.

Actually I've brought that up multiple times over the years, including recently in discussions of Ben Affleck and Robert Pattinson being casted as Batman.

But what changed people's minds about Heath Ledger wasn't his performance when the movie was released, or a post-humous respect since he recently passed away, but this first trailer.

Watch it again, please, as I just did. Experience the public's 1st impression of Heath Ledger's joker again. That made skeptics of Ledger first think 'Woah, maybe I was completely wrong from the beginning.'

Now compare that, to the public's 1st impression of Barry Keoghan's Joker.
(Apparently the clips of that scene on YouTube have been deleted, but I trust your memory of it is still fresh so my point will still be made.)

That was my point though. People laughed at the casting of ledger then when the teaser hit with his laugh it was "oh shit" then it was "oh shitttttt"

So..let's just wait and see how it all goes

Just seen The Green Knight, i think Keoghan is going to do well, feels already more Joker than Ledger ever been

That's my first time seeing him in anything, the Joker tease at the end of the Batman not withstanding. Keoghan is going to kill it.

I really hope his face is straight jacked up as the Joker. With how great Farrell's makeup and prosthetics were as Oz, I can only imagine how this Joker will turn out.

He’s not a main character but the series love/hate is well worth a watch
