What I liked -

The setting, mood, and vibe of Gotham City is fantastic. It feels like a evil NYC or a modern version of London during the industrial revolution.
This Batman's voice is much more intelligible and natural than Bale's version
Better Catwoman than the Nolan Movie

What I thought was weak -

Bruce Wayne had almost no presence/effect in the movie and was on screen for a short time, maybe it's intentional as Riddler have said that his true identity is Batman. And when he was Bruce Wayne, he looked like a druggie.
Not enough Batomobile, too much motorcycle
At the end, that emergency power-up shot came out of nowhere and he seems to be totally recovered after. That's a shitty plot device drug. It should've given him temporary power up and goes back to being incapacitated after.

I really enjoyed it...

I do not like Robert as Batman... Sorry it doesn't feel organic and he looks too Emo...

So is that RAGE he took - A foreshadowing to Bane?

It's also inconsistently portrayed. In one scene, Batman literally walks through a storm of submachinegun rounds at point blank range. This is ridiculous of course. No matter how good your body armour is at preventing the rounds from penetrating, the kinetic energy of the rounds is still going to do damage. That many at that range? Unless you're wearing an Iron Man Suit, you're looking at cracked ribs, if not actual internal injuries.

However, during the climactic fight scene, Bats is hit point blank with a shotgun and goes down hard. To the point he needs to juice himself up with adrenalin just to get back in the fight. This is actually a much more realistic portrayal of what happens when you get shot at close range, even wearing high quality body armour. But it's completely different from the previous scene, where he takes what should be much more damage without reacting to it in any way.
 
Just watched this last night. I was underwhelmed. I can list pros and cons or whatever but the bottom line is it did lots of things but none of them particularly well. Average detective noir, average action set pieces, average fight choreography and frankly 3 hours is just too long.

The only time I was fully engaged was the batmobile reveal, they did a good job there. Suit was great. Some great visuals and great set pieces but zero desire to ever see it again. I almost dragged my family to see it in theaters. That woulda been a disaster .
 
I liked the movie a lot. It was even part of the movie that gave me goose bumps of pleasure. And then I think about when the Nirvana song starts and how well it worked with the rain and the long motorcycle ride home. Right there, I did not know who was driving. I thought it was Riddler until the bats showed up.

When I think about it, I've actually seen quite a few movies with Robert Pattinson and he's always impressed. He is very good actor. And I can honestly say that his portrait of Batman is the best so far. Only the fact that he looked dirty and sick fit into the harsh and dark surroundings. I like movies with rain and 7even was one too. It feels as if god almighty is so tired of the destructive humans that he lets the rain stand so that it can wash away the corrupt and inhumane people.

Speaking of motorcycles, I also liked the last scene with batman and catwoman going in different directions with him glancing in the side mirror. There were actually many visually good looking scenes. The one with the penguin sitting upside down and looking at the batman with the inferno in the background and his cape exposed in the wind. Super cool!

Colin Farrell, he was completely unrecognizable and he was great. The little you saw of Paul Dano without a mask was also satisfying. His stare at Batman from inside the cafeteria with a policeman pressing down on his face was disturbing.

Less good was the length of the film. 3 hour movies require a lot of one and I can handle epic movies like Ran by Kurosawa without protesting, but I do not want to call this movie epic. 2 hours would have been perfect!

I thought the choice as Jeffrey Wright as Gordon was a poor choice as I already think that the actor always looks so tired and bored in his other films. It's like he's holding back and never really getting started.

Catwoman had a good suit but the choice of actress was less good. She does not have the elegance and sexiness that a catwoman should have. A prime Michelle Pfeiffer can not anyone beat. Her charisma when she was younger and most beautiful was from another world.

I look forward to more films by the same director and of course with Robert Pattinson in the lead role!

I changed my mind. I watched the second half and I liked it. The car chase was my favorite part but overall it felt like Batman at the end. TLDR: Didn't like the first half but the second half was good
 
Saw it yesterday, very good movie. But it kinda reminded me of the Nolan movies, with it's themes of inequality.

The setting and overall mood, as you mentioned, is the true star of the show imo. They did an excellent job of finding a middle ground between Tim Burton’s fantastical cartoon comic world and Nolan’s Heat-esque city feel. Gotham feels cartoonish but not so outlandish that you can’t imagine yourself there. That’s’ a very fine line for a comic book movie to walk and they crushed it. Reminded me a lot of the Arkham series
 
A bit long, but otherwise it was really good. It nice to see batman portrayed as someone that didn't land everything perfectly and got knocked around a bit.

Third weakest live-action Batman movie made. Like every other DC movie made in the past decade, it is eclipsed by the DC Animated Universe films from the same period that cover the same comic content.
 
I enjoyed it, felt like a graphic novel come to motion picture.

That's my take on it as well. Add i half the movie you couldn't see shit because of the lighting, and I wasn't impressed.
 
I enjoyed it. . liked the colour grading- desaturated shadows instead of the usual orange and teal variety. I still felt it wasn't quite there in capturing Batman from the comic books or the animated series. I probably wont see it again and I'm not hoping for any sequels or expanded universe related to this film. maybe 8 out of 10 and only this high because everything else these days is woke garbage.
