Not really an anime guy honestly but I had a video come on my YouTube feed which was an entire series seamlessly edited together 4 hours long, I was hooked straight away, it was everything I expected and wanted it to be - little bit cheesy but in a good way, insane creativity, nostalgic 90’s artwork
I was blown away by the level of depth in it. You have Guts on the roof questioning what it means to be a man, the music, philosophical elements, love interests and tragedy with the last part of story shifting to horror from medieval political battle drama.
It’s the only anime I’ve ever watched and it’s actually one of the best things if not the best I’ve ever seen. Nothing I’ve seen really makes me feel the way it does when I think about it, particularly the ending and how things turn out. Very powerful stuff
Berserk is amazing, and inspired stuff like full metal alchemist and attack on titan.
