The Anime and Manga Thread v47

It's phenomenal that it's all hand drawn. Terrible shame that quite a few people who worked on it died in the Kyoto Animation arson attack. It's a tough movie you either feel it's a masterpiece or hate it.
What? It's overwhelmingly in favourite of one of the greatest ever

I think for some people it hits a bit close to home and makes them feel uncomfortable. There are quite a few people who deride how good it is and basically say it's garbage online.

Has anyone watched the updated Beserk movies? I loved it but watched it not too long ago so not sure if I want to do it again unless the new scenes are worth it.

Spirited away is a masterpiece and contender for GOAT anime.

Eh excitement with berserk kinda died with author dying

Still goat manga for me though

A lot of people are saying that nowadays anime subs and dubs are about equally good. Makes me kinda curious to check out some dubbed anime.

Thoughts?
A lot of people sound like idiots then.

Anyone can say that. it's gotten near perfect across the board. Oscar scnub, in my book.

Akira is overrated, but so are shows like Bleach, Trigun. Anime is maybe the biggest "niche" market out there to argue over one another.

I watched "Yuri on Ice" - amazing. No accolades whatsoever. I even have a shirt- Gals were all over me
