The Anime and Manga Thread v46 [OLD THREAD]

Saw the JKK movie in Engrish this time.

The site I used to watch has a ton of weird Chinese anime. I don't recognize any of it. It kinda clogs up what I want to look at.
 
Started reading the manga called kurosawa legend of the strongest man and finished it In a day now reading the continuation new kurosawa.
It's a comedy manga about a likeable loser its by the the same guy who made the kanji series.
Can recommend it if you want something lighthearted but wholesome
 
Just finished the final episode of Lycoris Recoil and it was easily my favourite anime of this season.

I think Chinese animation is called "donghua". "Chinese anime" sounds a bit weird because "anime" stands for Japanese animation, so it's basically saying "Chinese Japanese animation".
 
I watched the JKK movie on CR last night, enjoyed it but I still have no idea who TF the main character was and where did he go.

Yuta was the missing second year student. The dude that was in Africa on assignment. They mentioned him but you didn't see him. I miss characters like that too because those Japanese names don't mean anything to me if I can't connect a face to it.

I had to even look up megumi's name just now. I was thinking bootleg Sasuke was talking about Yuta.

Its also been quite a while since I watched JJK.
 
So OPM went from changing things up to faithfully adapting the Webcomic almost panel to panel. Didn't see that one coming.

I was slightly confused at one point as well probably because I haven't watched the series in a long time. It all made sense at the end though. I liked the movie, but I was expecting it to be more about Gojo and not the missing (as in missing in S1) 2nd year student. Seems like he is a badass though with more potential then even Gojo so Season 2 should be really good. I read it will air for 6 months straight. I'm hoping I'll be preoccupied with Bleach and forget about S2 until it's more than half way completed.
 
I finally got into Code Geass. I started it a few times over the years, but it never grabbed me. I didn't like Lelouch at first either, but after booting it back up, it sunk its claws into me around ep 12 or 13. It's around the time the world started opening up and Lelouch
sacrificed the JLF by blowing up their ship. He also buried a bunch a bunch of people in the mountain. He's going all in on liberating Japan.
It's a great sci-fi/supernatural David vs Goliath story. I love the tactics, reminds me of Legend of Galactic Heroes.

I'm almost finished S1, so happy I have 25 more episodes with S2, this only getting better. I'm pretty sure I saw Kallen's tatas too lol.

Facts and Ijin has made her more likable as she has taken a liking to the LT which probably didn't know she actually felt something for him until he showed how selfless he is. Funny how Ijin just one shot all those attackers off screen.
