The Anime and Manga Thread v46 [OLD THREAD]

I've been watching since the 80s, and this is still the one of the best sequence of animation ever made for a series.

Now if only they could remake Slamdunk with Production IG and teach the Kuroko generation what basketball anime is all about.

Ahhh I'm currently watching Kuroko lol. Should I have chosen Slam Dunk instead? Also my friend has told me to watch Haikyu for the past couple of years. Maybe after I'm done with Kuroko Basketball.

It was alright until it got silly. It has a decent plot of former teammates competing against each other but the author probably wanted that 8-13 year old market. Slam Dunk is pure shonen awesomeness. Haikyuu is goat. I'm rewatching it for the 4th time.

Stupidst and most lazy shit ive ever seen. Seriously, they need to fuck off with Frieza an make a new vilian
Dragonball likes crazy twists and asspulls. I don't think Freeza will fight the guys soon. He shows up after the end of the current arc and blitzes the main villain. He walks away from them after sonning both Vegeta and Goku in their strongest form. There will be another arc without Frieza. He will most likely return for the next tournament of power and someone ends up being stronger than him appears. They still have the unnamed evil doer that killed Jiren's master.

They have 3 major arcs since the anime? I think there are 3 or more big villains and several sub villains. The twists and asspulls are done but they kinda throw away potential good villains. It's like that demon king Dabura guy in the Buu arc. He shows up and gets eaten by Buu. Same with the android/cell arc.

Since Netflix finally got Vinland Saga, I started watching that. It's great. I am remember the manga as I watch, and am anticipating seeing some great scenes ahead.

I don't know why I slept on Vinland Saga as long as I did. I watched the anime about 2 weeks ago, and I've read up to chapter 160 since then. It's fucking brilliant. Really looking forward to seeing the farm arc animated.

If you haven't watched this yet you're missing out.Especially with Season two so close

I would take rainbow Frieza at this point over another Gas

Last one is getting an anime soon. Looks amazing and I'll post the trailer when I get a good chance. And yeah I agree about how it's really good that it doesn't go any of those cliche routes. Ditto for rounding out the various other guilds, groups, and players. It makes the world feel more real and alive.

Here's that Shangri-la Trailer I mentioned.

I enjoyed it at first but the kid with the jar on his head was kind of boring. I stopped after that arc finished but I do plan to go back because overall it was an interesting story.

Started up Tokyo 24th ward a couple weeks ago. Not to bad of a show. Started off a bit slow at first but it's been getting better and better.

Did you finish the season? I agree the jar head kid was a bit dull but it had it's purpose. And the ending of that arc was soul crushing lmao.

Decided to catch up on the Dragonball Super manga. The Moro arc was actually decent but this current one has been pretty lame. They need two Dragonballs and they can wish to be the strongest in the universe? Other than Vegeta getting some time to shine the best part of the arc was Frieza showing up.

I wont lie the ending was soul crushing. I haven't finished it yet. I stopped right after that arc. I had to take my media server offline to move some files onto my new setup and it's taking a bit to move all this shit.
