The Anime and Manga Thread v46 [OLD THREAD]

Keep seeing comments about the new The Breaker being terrible and now I am worried about reading it a ruining the first two seasons
It's playing seven years of catch-up and is starting largely as though it were a new IP, so there's a lot of introductory type stuff going on right now. It doesn't just pick right up where the last series ended and go balls-to-the-wall right out of the gate. I'd say it's fine so far. I'll start worrying if it's still like this by chapter 20.

It's been a month since I've watched any anime, but I've been keeping up with OPM manga. I'm glad I waited all these years to finally read it. It would have been painful to wait that long to finally get to the main fight. It's definitely getting interesting and hopefully the end of this long arc.
Have you checked out the webcomic? It's even further ahead, though has a pretty visibly less refined artstyle.

I did a long time ago, but I haven't recently. I'll just stick to the manga for now. The last chapter was totally revised. Never seen anything like that before.

Murata revises/redraws chapters quite a bit. I haven't read the latest one myself yet, so I'm not sure how different it is. I'll check it out at some point.

Just finished up Bungo Stray Dogs anime on HBO Max. That was a fun ride. I'll have to look into the manga to see if there is any more story after the 3 seasons of anime.

I just started watching Komi Can't Communicate. Love it so far. lol

Also been reading the trending Spy X Family manga. It's pretty good, if not a little formulaic. But I don't mind. The characters are good and Anya is adorable. I like that she is not the usual smart, know it all kid, and is a bit dumb. :D Just like my rl daughter! (j/k) :P

Komi can't communicate and Spy X family are definitely on my to-watch list.

Just finished Golden Kamuy! Man, what a wild ride!! The story was great and so much attention to detail, the art was amazing, the comedy was fantastic, and it was just overall a really excellent manga! I've never read anything like it. It was phenomenal!

I am watching Great Teacher Onizuka in the gym. It's pretty goofy but it is hilarious.

As with the other threads, thanks for the recommendations. Good shit.

Fuck ippo is so good, not many writers can pull of not having the MC not do shit for like half a decade.

Excited for the spar.

Started watching something called The Last Summoner the other night. It looked good but lost me when they started speaking Chinese instead of Japanese.
<DisgustingHHH>

I'm 200 chapters behind what am I missing ?
Ippo is about to step into the ring as a sparing partner for Volg to help him prep for his next title defense.

Also, in unrelated news: the beatdown in Mount Hua has been satisfying. I wouldn't be surprised if for this last fight Chung Mung pretends to get injured in a way that makes it obvious to everybody that the southern sect dude was trying to kill him.
