This is scene is fucking hilarious. I find it even more hilarious that the artist's daughter draws that furry anime Beastars. You can tell the Kengan artists appreciate MMA and different types of martial arts. Baki is just like I am going to take famous combat athletes/figures and mix it with my own guys. Everyone is going to be swole as fuck.

I watch it only when I am lifting. I legit spit water at how goofy some of the scenes are. There are moments I only listen to audio part then I have to do a double take like WTF! This dude just got a powerup from fucking?
 
I was watching this because one of you guys mentioned it. I haven't seen this in so many years but it's still nice
 
I've seen the Baki show from 2001 and can agree that it is extremely ridiculous and very stupid at times but the creator does have some respect for MMA

I might have to read Season 1 and Season 2 again.

Yup. It's off to a bit of an odd start, the way it's essentially retreading the start of S1, but it's way too early to be worried yet. I think part of the reasoning is the shift in format and consideration for new readers. It's been seven years (!!!) since S2 ended so it's not too surprising they wouldn't just jump right back in where it left off.
 
I've only seen the first two episodes of rising of shield hero season 2 does it get better? because I'm thinking of dropping it.

Yeah I think they are definitely considerate of the fact it's been a long time so even though the Breaker and Breaker New Waves had a cult following they needed to re-cap who the hell everyone is.

I haven't watched, but I did read a significant chunk of the manga. But, regardless of where S2 picks up, the answer is: no, it does not get better. My opinion was that the series continued to decrease in quality as it progressed. The supporting cast outside the MC's party weren't interesting and I never felt we got a compelling villain. If you're thinking of dropping, I'd say drop it. It's not going to do anything to change your mind.
 
just started demon slayer and about 10 esipodes in and liking it. Gives me Me Hero vibe with the art style but story is pretty burtal with the deaths. i like it emough to keep going and see why it is popular

great show. the sub is way better than the dub. my favorite kill in all of fiction is in S1.

It's kinda wack. It becomes sort of a harem. I kinda don't like these harem isekais.
