And we're not talking about some bums stalling and keeping guys on the mat here.

Fighters like JDS, Cain, Fedor etc, etc. are getting disrespected, all their accomplishments are wiped out overnight around here just because they lost some fight even when they fight their hearts out.

And this mainly comes from retarded fans, both the ones who create unnecessary hypes and and the ones who tarnish leagcies.

If you had read the threads about Cain after he lost the first fight you'd get the impression he was faker than Brock, guy all hype and nothing behind it. I feel the same way about JDS today, guy who keeps on fighting with broken jaw, looking the way he did, not thinking about quitting for a second. Two true warriors, two real fighters who come to fight every night and go for the finish, keeping the MMA spirit alive...wtf?

I am a fan of some fighters myself, I also feel pretty passionate about it- I am excited when they win and sad or pissed off when they lose, but when their opponent is a guy as humble and respectful, as true MMA artist as both Cain, JDS, Louzane and whoever else what kind of animal should you be to boo, disrespect or mock their injuries. Bunch a retards on here. Pretty sad

If you pay to see them fight you have a right to hate on them. Hating is fun.

i agree, but that's what makes it fun

when your guy wins you get to talk shit, when he loses you're on the receiving end. And most of these trolls just say things they dont mean to get under peoples skin.

its blissful anarchy, and I have just recently learned that as long as you put "just my honest opinion" after your post, you can say whatever you want about a fighter. whatever you want. as long as it doesn't have cus words. so grab a thesaurus and join in the bashing!

I don't hate the fighters. I hate the Sherdoggers.

(Especially you. If you're reading this right now, I hate you.)

Why do you think everybody says MMA has the worst fans? If you lose a fight people just tear you down man, it's brutal.

MMA has the worst fans of every sport -- whining, fickle, hyperbolic.

Is this turning into pro wrestling?

Haha, pretty funny Av, especially Brock's face. Remember how he was saying he'd open up a Corona and eat a Taco for Cain's Mexican heritage after he beats him....then he pushed one of the security guys who were escorting him on his way to the cage. I totally get why Brock was getting hate gotta tell you.

Hating on real MMA artists, humble and skilled guys, not acting like the bully on a playground...I dont get that

I hate me too:icon_cry2

Hate is just love in disguise for those who can't express their emotions well. Brown Pride!!

So you bash Brock in the same post, OP?

Please tell me you're trolling.

If innocent sports like baseball and soccer amount for all the hate we are all familiar with, what did you expect from (I'll quote Sonnen here) a "Cage Fight"?

Hating is part of the fun a lot of people get out of it: I dislike it too, but hey, they get their kicks that way.

As for disregarding a fighters past accomplishments: tunnel-vision, we all suffer from it.

Not for me, if I hate you then I really mean it, of course I've never actually met anyone I hated so...let me get back to you on that.

I honestly think it is a pro wrestling mentality. Most kids missed Tyson and below and boxing got muddled after him. In a nutshell, they lost true combat sports. So what did a lot of kids grow up with in regards to combat sports? Fake, dramatized wrestling. Hell even some of UFC's good ratings on TV can be attributed to the pro wrestling show lead ins.

And what does pro wrestling teach you? That there HAS to be a good guy and there HAS to be a bad guy and you MUST pick sides. They feed off of the drama more than the fight.

So I don't give a shit what anyone says. Even if you don't watch that shit now, you probably did. Its ingrained in to your blood. I don't blame you, it's all you knew growing up before the UFC. Its just part of your nature.

Then you got guys like me. We are a small subset of the small subset of all MMA fans. We come for the fights. We appreciate all aspects of the fight and we don't get caught up in the drama.

Don't get me wrong. When Guillard started talking about some accusations and reasons why Varner backed out of their fight, followed by him being pissed at the weigh ins two weeks later, followed by Varner beating him anyway, I dug the drama and made the win more satisfying. But I didn't draw lines in the sand, jump on some band wagon and become Guillards manager after he lost either.
