Thanks Hilary. :D

Speaking Monday to ABC Las Vegas affiliate KTNV-TV via Skype between puffs from a thick cigar, Zimmerman struck a pose of defiance, discussing the process of auctioning the gun and accusing Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton of pandering to the black community to get votes.

"I was tired of Hillary Clinton's anti-gun rhetoric," Zimmerman said of his rationale for auctioning off the pistol. "She has been stumping around for a false campaign for the Trayvon Martin Foundation. She lied, saying that I killed him when he was walking home in his daddy's neighborhood. Which if anyone watched more than seven minutes of the trial, they would know that is false."

The unarmed Martin was visiting his father's fiancee's neighborhood and was returning from a convenience store before the deadly encounter with Zimmerman, who claimed self-defense.

Zimmerman said he would use some of the proceeds to help police who were targeted by violence.

Liberals are gonna be outraged!

http://thefederalist.com/2016/05/25/dc-attorney-general-ignores-court-order-refuses-gun-permits/

Less than a year ago, Kim Davis ignored a court order from the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky and refused to issue a marriage license to same-sex couples. She was held in contempt of court, served five days in jail, and was ruthlessly attacked in the media.

Now the office of Karl Racine, the Washington, D.C. attorney general, has ordered D.C. government employees to ignore a court order from the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. The order by the D.C. District Court Judge Richard Leon was to stop denying individuals applying for a concealed-carry permit from requiring a “good reason,” and to immediately update the forms to no longer require that.

More of the usual bullshit that tries to play on emotions.

So today, together with Mark, I am using my voice to make our great country safer from the kind of gun violence that took the lives of those around me; changed many others’ lives, and mine, forever; and, just yesterday, took two more lives at UCLA. Gun violence is a full-blown national crisis—one that, on an average day, claims 91 American lives, including seven children and teens.

Full-blown national crisis? I don't know anybody who has been shot or held at gunpoint (by anyone other than the police). Maybe someone should let her know that 2/3 of what she thinks is violence is really suicide. Might help her understand the absurdity of the crisis claim.

I always laugh at the narrative about Assault weapons. More people are killed by knives than assault weapons yearly as well as handguns.

New anti-gun control ads that feature women and LGBT citizens using guns to defend themselves are causing a stir as California considers background checks for ammo purchases.

Coalition for Civil Liberties, which is supported by the National Rifle Association, released the first of two ads on Monday, Time magazine reported.

The second ad, featuring a transgender character, will be released Wednesday.

The LGBT community should be the most supportive of gun rights.

Holy cow, homemade guns. Who could have guessed?

He said the quality of the workmanship varies from gun to gun, depending on the materials and the manufacturer.

Palestinians have used them "in a number of terrorist attacks over the past few months," Rosenfeld said.

According to an Israeli intelligence official, the homemade gun has become the weapon of choice for Palestinian gunmen, ousting the Kalashnikov that has traditionally been in use.

Carlo's popularity stems from availability, he added.

"Real weapons" are now hard to find and expensive in the West Bank due to raids carried out by Israel as well as those undertaken by forces of the Palestinian government, which rules about a third of the territory.

Carlo is somewhat based on the Swedish "Carl Gustav" submachine gun because it's easy to copy with the materials at hand, the intelligence official said. Hundreds are believed to be in circulation, he added, speaking on condition of anonymity because he wasn't authorized to talk to reporters.

A member of the Democratic National Committee’s 15-person platform drafting committee said during a public meeting on Wednesday that she does not believe that “anyone should have a gun.”

A ruling with the potential to vastly expand the number of California residents permitted to carry concealed weapons in public was overturned by a federal appeals court.

I'm guessing they decline to hear the Connecticut case.

http://www.cnn.com/2016/06/14/politics/supreme-court-gun-control-connecticut-heller/index.html

Days after the worst mass shooting in the United States, the Supreme Court is poised to act on two cases highlighting the raging debate over what types of guns and ammunition may be banned and who should have the right to possess firearms.

Justices will meet behind closed doors this week to determine whether or not to take up a constitutional challenge to a Connecticut ban of certain semi-automatic assault weapons and large capacity magazines.

The court is also poised to rule by the end of the month on the case of a Maine man who says that his prior misdemeanor under state law for domestic violence should not have caused him to lose his right to possess a firearm under federal law.

Pretty sure Obama is going to try and ride the wave of Orlando post attack hysteria to try and push a federal AWB bill after hearing his speech this morning .

Just wanted to bang my head against my desk when listening to it...

He can push what he wants but not even his own party in Congress supported it when he didn't need a single Republican vote in 09.

Hard-hitting stuff.

SEVEN MINUTES.

That's how long it took me to buy an AR-15, the type of semiautomatic rifle used in the deadliest mass shooting in modern American history.

Seven minutes. From the moment I handed the salesperson my driver's license to the moment I passed my background check.

It likely will take more time than that during the forthcoming round of vigils to respectfully read the names of the more than 100 people who were killed or injured.

It's obscene.

Horrifying.

Is she saying that she shouldn't have passed the background check or that it should just take longer cuz Orlando? It's the information age and background checks can happen instantaneously. Maybe she was under the misimpression that the FBI spends a week going through all the emails that the NSA has collected on a person?

Here's more stupidity.

If it wasn't so easy to get a gun in this country, the 29-year-old gunman who went on a shooting rampage in a popular gay nightclub in Orlando on Sunday wouldn't have been able to buy the weapon he used to kill 49 people and injure 53.

Why wouldn't he? Unlike her, this guy was actually investigated by the FBI and determined to not be a threat.

If it wasn't so easy to get a gun in this country, another gunman who came before him wouldn't have been able to use the same kind of firearm to kill elementary-school children in Newtown, Conn.

All he had to do was kill his mom since the shooter wasn't old enough to purchase the firearm. Instead of "so easy to get" she must mean not be able to get one at all.

lol at this part where she thinks she needs to explain herself to the shopkeeper. Just oozing with guilt I guess.

I need to come up with some plausible story, I think. What if I'm asked why, a day after this massacre, I want to buy the very type of gun used to slaughter people at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando.

I consider my options:

I'm a woman who wants a rifle for safety reasons?

I'm a gun enthusiast with a soft spot for military-style rifles?

I'm a card-carrying member of the NRA who is afraid the government will be coming for my guns?

Best part of her piece right here.

Go to a licensed gun store. Fill out about a page and a half of forms. Wait (if that's really the right word for it) for an instant background check, and then pay the man. I told the guy I was on a budget, so I got an AR-15 for $759.99. God bless America.

To top it off though...

As I walked to my car with my brand-new gun, I wasn't sure what to do with it. I didn't want it, but I also didn't want it in anyone else's hands either.

So I drove to the Philadelphia police's Sixth District on 11th and Winter, where I seemed to stump more than a few officers when I explained who I was and what I wanted to do. Have you ever tried to turn in a gun in this city? Spoiler alert: It takes longer than it does to buy a gun.

Sounds good to me.

If it had only been another half page it would have satisfied her...

In actuality its at least three pages of forms, she must print on both sides.
