True, but I think it wasn't so strongly defined by people being in opposition to one another before the likes. It's like a race to talk shit on the other side right away, so you can get as many likes as possible. Then everyone sees who likes the post that talked shit, and the teams become clearly defined. It turns threads into a numbers game, as opposed to who has the best argument.

It just seems very obvious to me that a lot of people don't care at all about being correct or having a good point as long as they say something that gets them more likes than the person they're talking to. That definitely has an effect on the quality of the discussions going on.

Look at The War Room, easily over half the posts in that place are from people who are just trying to get likes from their team. Without that, all that's left is conversation.

The discussions were shit before the like system, they're still shit with the like system, and they'd be shit if you removed the like system.

Man... I just got like 60 likes in the Diaz Triggers Jones thread. Was on a roll this past week with likes at Jones's expense. Stupidass sherdog leaders can't even run this shit properly. What's the point in resetting? Just get rid of the feature.
