That was some horrible matchmaking by UFC!

Young, handsome guy like Edmen gets fed to a top contender who is also a horrible stylistic matchup for him. We Dogs could’ve made better fights than these matchmakers lolol
Well, they gave to him,
previously an older striker,
and now an older grappler!
What better match-ups than these !?

It definitely was bad matchmaking.
Usually fighters have managers or coaches that handle fight bookings.
When Sean Shelby called, most likely Edmond answered the phone and accepted the fight.
I guessing he wanted his fighter to be closer to the belt.

Agreed. I thought Jack was a step up from Brunson as well. Edmen looked good in the first despite Jack blocking most of his punches. However, after that first round he faded and Jack took control. I think Edmen needs a couple more fights in the #11-15 range. He isn't ready for the top of the division just yet.

Edmen will be back. He showed promise even in defeat. Hes really young. By 25 he will be in the title picture. Hes only 23.

It isn't that Edmen can't hang with the top 15, he clearly is an offensive dynamo when he's able to dictate the action and range. I don't think he's a horrible grappler but he definitely lacks grappling stamina to hang with guys who have heavy top games like Brunson and Hermansson.

It was definitely not great match making but not because ES can't cut it, it's because if he were to lose another fight in the fashion he was most likely to lose it in (getting out grappled) it would put a lot of unnecessary damage on a young prospect. So he's taken two brutal beatings on the ground now at only 24 years old.

Competitive fight that he'll learn from. Not sure what the problem is. Not everyone can get the Conor McGregor treatment.

Great matchmaking. This isn't boxing. No padded records. The best fight the best in the UFC. All competitive fights.

If he is not ready for the UFC, he should go back to the regional scene and gain experience.

If he is not ready for the top contenders, his managers should reject the UFC offer and wait for one with an unranked opponent

It's not UFC's job to babysit upcoming fighters. Also, handsome? What does that have to do with anything? LOL What a fag

If UFC were smart at all they'd give him a striker next. ;)

Him vs Till would've been aesthetic as fuck, in terms of a striking match.

I seem to remember them being matched up but Hermansson dropped out and was replaced by Brunson late on. Hazy memory though..
