That was Alex Caceres' first knockout ever

Aside from the one injury to Rolando Dy, he's got two tkos, and they're both deep into the fight and respective rounds. I think this was his first legit KO as a pro, amateur, or street fighter. He's always been a very good striker who lacks power, and I guess it was only a matter of time before his technique shut someone's lights.

Probably means ko in the ufc. Hes not a ko power guy but as long as he fought long enough it was bound to happen. His opponent maybe made the mistake thinking he cant ko him.

Its like when they say a fighter has never been submitted, its not like he cant be submitted, like when patchy mix just submitted magomed. Its mma anything can happen

yeah most likely that's what he meant. his finish percentage is pretty good, less ko's when there's more subs lol.
 
Julian erosa is a beast when he is on. He’s also been KOd quite a few times. Hopefully his best days aren’t behind him. Very happy for Ceceres.

I am not surprised he never had a ko before. I was in disbelief when he got one this weekend and how fast it happened.

DHC entered the UFC 12-1 on a ten fight win streak. They booked him with 5-4 UFC record Sam Sicilia, most likely because he was a striker with a bad record and no other skills. Its the opposite of thrown to the wolves, its like going out of their way to book him favorably.

He KO's Sam so they book him up a level with journeyman Thiago Tavares who is 10-6-1 in the UFC, on a one fight win streak. The fight previous Ortega TKO'd him. Pretty sensible step up, DHC knocks him out.

For his third UFC fight, they step him up again now to Cub Swanson. Cub has gone 2-2 in his last 4, getting dominated and stopped by Edgar and Hollway back to back, then beating two un-ranked fighters. This is a fairly reasonable step up again, DHC is now 14-1 in his career and 2-0 with two big KOs in the UFC. He gets a respected and name brand journeyman.

Loses in a thrilling war to Cub, Fight of the Night / Fight of the Year. Presumably that should insinuate this is smart booking.

He gets booked with 13-13 UFC record journeyman Stephens - again booking him with someone who is a striker with little other skills, that will oblige DHC's style. He gets murder KO'd on the ground by Stephens.

So they take him down in competition all the way to Charles Jourdain, who is 0-1 in the UFC and green at a career 9-2. You cannot get lower quality than Jourdain in the featherweight division. DHC gets TKO'd. Want to add Jourdain is a losing 4-5-1 in the UFC to date.

I still struggle to comprehend that Sergio Pettis then went on to finish Kyoji Horiguchi with strikes.
