He prepared specifically for a Southpaw wrestler for an entire camp and on 5 days notice had to quickly switch it up and take a fight with an orthodox striker. That's incredibly difficult and a completely different style.

Also, when's the last time someone has an easy fight with Felder? Paul is a really tough SOB and I think even guys like Justin and Dustin would have to go to hell and back to get a W over Felder.

Lastly,because of this style matchup, I don't think we've seen the best of RDA in this final title run that he's making. With a full camp to prepare and gameplan for a top 5 LW, I think he comes out sharper on the feet and can make some noise at LW.

Crazy even against felder he looked smaller, why was he at welterweight ?

RDA should ve never been in welterweight, he was way too small, and lost too many times. The good thing is that he didn't took much damage, almost all his losses are via lay and pray.

How is a normal orthodox fighter hard to prepare for? That's what most people are.

To me, something happened that night. Felder looked much more heavier than Dos Anjos. Ok that he lost, but he was visibly bigger. And Dos Anjos was always someone big at LW, one of the most bigger guys when he fought there. I didn't understand shit tbh.
 
Say what you will about his recent performances at 170(against studs) but along with being champion at 155, RDAs been doing the damn thing in 2 of the most stacked divisions in MMA and beating top guys in both divisions. That's impressive in itself

felder is a huge LW, I mean crazy muscular for the weight class, perry wasn't bigger than him when they fought at 170. RDA must be one of those fighters that struggle to cut much weight.
 
Felder is a fringe top 10 guy (I'm a fan, not knocking him, just my opinion) with a 9-6 UFC record.

He hasn't fought the elite, and if he did he would get squashed. He's pretty much a kickboxer who is lacking in wrestling and BJJ.

RDA was able to get a workmanlike wall and stall against a guy he matched up well with.

I think RDA still generally splits wins and losses against ranked lightweights at this point in his career.

Not the biggest Felder fan here but he is a tough SOB. The guy is a fighter to the core. I'm glad he took the fight, he saved the card.
 
Not hating at all, but I certainly would raise an eyebrow at pushing the concept of RDA being in his physical prime. Very unlikely statistically speaking.
 
He’s a legit top 10 guy right now. He’s still good enough to beat up on the Felder’s, Kevin Lees and Laquintas if the world. Not sure how well he does navigating the top 5 though. Would like to see him vs Do Bronx or Hooker next.
 
I mean i like RDA a lot, but that Felder win is propably the ceiling for him at LW. He could propably beat Hooker i guess.
Felder is overranked and should be more at the end of the top 15 skillwise tbh.
Still an impressive win nontheless.
I cant see him beat Poirier, Tony, Dustin, Conor or Do Bronx tho. Maybe he can win one of those, but he aint working his way up to a title shot anymore, unless he gets really lucky with matchmaking.

I'm a felder fan, and rda definitely came out there and got a decisive win over a tough guy who's been relevant in the top 5 - 10 of the division recently. It puts rda right in line for a top guy.

I don't see him beating Poirier either......but I can definitely see him beating Dustin.
