Tetris movie

I read an article today about the new Tetris movie. Apparently they plan on making this crazy thing a trilogy now with around an $80MM budget. The producing company, Threshold Global Studios, is a Chinese company started by the Larry Kasanoff and Bruno Wu. Larry produced Mortal Combat, Mortal Combat: Annihilation, True Lives, and a dozen other crap films. Bruno doesn't seem to have done much in the industry from what he's been credited on IMDb.

I guess I'm wondering what you guys think the plot will be. I can't begin to image how they will turn this game of blocks into a trilogy. What is your Tetris plot prediction?

OOOH! Maybe there's a terrible earthquake in NYC. People are trapped between buildings trying to escape a gridlocked city as parts of buildings crash down into the streets. Sometimes the debris gets stuck before it hits the ground crushing hundreds. Other times, it crashes down on babies and nuns.


On a side note, isn't it odd that we call earthquakes by that name? Earth is the name of our planet. So can earthquakes only happen on Earth? Say we terraform Mars and turn it into an awesome gambling/prostitution planet. If there is an earthquake, would they call it a marsquake? Or a planetquake?
