I haven't enjoyed a Terminator movie since T3, which definitely pales in comparison to the 1st 2. This just looks like a generic action flick. Just let it die already. They fucked it up. If anything they should have made something like Salvation with a competent director and a better script.

Recent security camera footage of James Cameron and John Connor...

Did this have anything to do with Reynolds refusing to let Kyle Chandler be cast as Cable?
From what I've read, yeah.

That fake bomb threat he made might have something to do with it. Or any of the other incidents he has been involved in.

Hey, how's this for an idea? Why don't ya try READING the WHOLE post before replying to it?! Ya evidently didn't BOTHER ro read the post I was QUOTING!

Can’t believe director chose this instead of Deadpool sequel.

Characters look like a hipster parody of Terminator.

We weren't TALKING about T.J. Miller! We were talking about Tim Miller, the DIRECTOR! jesus christ!

I'm one of the few that actually liked T3
just watched it recently again and was surprised how decent it was. but it's no way james cameron level, far from it. it's just ok/solid.
imo the actors acted a bit goofy. the effects were solid though.

I think there's plenty to explore, but the iconic characters overshadow the concept to the point where you can't.

Maybe they should take the concept away from the franchise, be inspired to build something new out of it, and quit trying to cash in on a familiar property? Just a thought.

I really wish they would have continued with the Salvation plot. I thought it was nice they were getting away from the standard formula and exploring the future war.

Yeah, it's a shame TS fucked that whole future war angle up, by being so awful. It was the natural progression within the franchise, and they just shit the bed. Why get such an excellent cast, and waste it all on McG's directorial skills?

Terminator 2 is actually what ruined the franchise

Ever since that movie each Terminator sequel needed to be action schlock

Terminator became a vehicle to show off special effects instead of being an actual movie

This new movie is no different

LOOK AT THESE COOL EFFECTS BRO

Whats a story?
Whats plot?

BOOM BOOM EXPLOSION, OH HELL YEAH

I think Arnold kills John Conor in the beginning of the movie. This is why Sarah wants to kill Arnold in the trailer.

It was not good. Actually, it was quite disappointing, albeit the action sequences were good and it was much better than t3 and Genesys

in a way you have a point - T2 is much more action oriented compared to T1 which was more thriller/horror oriented

but even so, T2 is still better than 100% of action movies made today
Arnie was still in his prime, there was still that 80s vibe and plot didnt stray from what it set out to do

with each new terminator we got a convoluted plot that went every which way, got shitty cast members (emilia clarke as sarah is greatest sin of them all) and effects actually got worse somehow and arnie with each new appearance made his character look less and less menacing/relevant (in last movies he is more of a action hero type, like silvester stallone instead of a fucking robot)

Do you even Jai Courtney bro?

Do you even Jai Courtney bro?

dont even remember his performance..
but emilias stood out as really bad hence me remembering her - well they could have done one worse than her, they could have cast that chick from GOT (Sansa) - she was also in xmen dark phoenix

them 2 can be besties when it comes to shitty acting

The part I don't understand is why David Goyer keeps getting work. Outside of Batman Begins (whose success I credit more to Christopher Nolan) and mayyyybe Blade, I can't think of anything he's written which is good. He's ruined franchises that I was really looking forward to (e.g. Constantine TV series, Batman v Superman, Krypton TV series). I'm praying that he doesn't screw the upcoming Sandman TV series.

While they've tried to tout James Cameron's contributions to TDF's story, I'll believe it when I see it.

The script is only part 1 of film making and honestly not that big of a part

I wouldn't blame Goyer for bad movies made with his scripts
