Meh. I have no faith left in this franchise. They've pretty much gone in every direction they can with the material. How much money can you beat out of this dead horse?

The only hope I had was for them to continue a long the Christian Bale timeline with what's happening in the war. I liked that idea and wanted them to continue in that direction.

This is normal. T4 is an abomination, and easily the worst of the bunch. T3 had some shortcomings, and was a bit too much of a retread, but it at least was a solid action movie, with a hail mary ending that redeemed an otherwise paint by numbers affair.

T4...McG...oh' god, that was awful. Such a shame too, cause in the right hands with that cast, it could've been something special.

I think 4 and 5 are tied for lamest. I say 5 had a better plot twist it was executed poorly though.

One of the best things about shows is that they give you time to really love characters, and once you do, they can play off the relationships they've earned.

Go smaller budget get people on board again with the franchise.

Do it for like 85 or max 100 mill only make it R rated and more of the feel of the first movie, good script, unknown actors with some talent and looks, make it more dark and gritty and more of a horror chase / no hope vs doom robot.. feel to it.

Salvation had its moments, and its overall a pretty good movie. But, since its a Terminator movie, it'll always be compared to T1 & T2.

Kinda like how EVERY Metallica album after their first four, is trash, although they're actually pretty good, but they're also not the first four Metallica albums.

I have to agree. Genysis was watchable but overall pretty shit - never - EVER - allow Daeneris on a set of a Terminator movie, or that generic-looking blonde guy whatever the fuck ever his name is, they were fucking terrible. Fucking Salvation gets it on the mere fact that Bale played in it, and that says a lot.

As for Metallica, I'll agree w shitting on everything past 1998 except for Hardwired. Whoever doesn't like Hardwired can go ahead and eat a massive, thick, veiny cock. That's right.
