eh not interested.

Even if they ignore it. T2 sealed the story line off in any sensible way. All there is too do is a prequel movie about the battle with humans and machine and Salvation did that decently enough IMO.

I'd be all for a future war movie, but....you know......it needs to actually resemble the future war we saw in T1 and T2.

Why are they talking about a new younger woman as the centerpiece when that's supposed to be John Connor? Hasn't he been built up as the only one to be able to lead them in the future?

{<huh}

Mackenzie Davis Joins Arnold Schwarzenegger in New TERMINATOR Movie

2jAjIiI.jpg

Mackenzie Davis is in negotiations to join Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger in the latest Terminator movie.

Tim Miller is directing the reboot, which, for the first time since 1991's Terminator: Judgment Day, has James Cameron involved.Skydance, the company behind 2015's Terminator Genisys and Annihilation, is producing the new movie. The untitled Terminator reboot is set for July 26, 2019.

Plot details are being kept under wraps, but it is understood that Davis is up to play a soldier-assassin on a mission. It is a human character in a movie that once again sets up the battle between (wo)man and machine.

While Davis has a key role in the movie, she may not be the reboot's true star. The producers have been undergoing an intense and so far fruitless search to find a Latina for the story's main role, according to sources. That is a role that would span all three movies of the intended trilogy. It is unclear how many movies Davis' deal calls for.

Davis recently appeared in Blade Runner 2049 and was one of the stars of AMC's Halt and Catch Fire.

Christian bale had potential to be conor.

Totally badass son from alpha woman sarah conor (linda hamilton) makes sense.

I don't think there is any possible way to resurrect this franchise. It's only used because people are familiar with the name, so they are more comfortable to go out and see it. Judgement day will forever be the peak.

Linda Hamilton is a still a fox.

I've been in love with her since I was ten.

I went back and rewatched T2 recently and I was surprised how much Emilia Clarke from Terminator Genisys actually favors younger linda hamilton. They look a lot alike, at least in the face.

I remember I was playing a pen & paper science fiction RPG back in the nineties. Our characters were headed down the expressway when the GM spent just a bit too much time describing the little girl looking at us from the car ahead of us. My buddy Ed turns to me and says "she's metal" before the little girl launched herself through the rear window of her car and into ours through the windshield. Turns out she was a berserker (robotic self-replicating machines strive to destroy all life the villains of our campaign).

Anyways, Davis as the "human character in a movie that once again sets up the battle between (wo)man and machine"...

She's metal.

Felt like a parody to me. How can I take a little munchkin serious.

"On your feet soldier"....awh how cute lol.

But at least she tried.

And if I wanted to take it serious id just have to tell myself its a different conor from another timeline.

People keep saying that, and I get it, but disagree.

It's an exciting world with incredible stories, problem it, they keep telling the same one.

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles was a spectacular television show.

I've said this a thousand times, almost certainly in this thread somewhere. Dark Horse proved you can do amazing things with the right concept using classic material.

I agree the franchise still has potential, but its appeal may have been squandered on rehash after rehash. I really liked Salvation.

They keep pitching, I'll keep swinging.

I also really enjoyed Salvation.

Pretend 4 and 5 never happened.. Get furlong in some kind of shape, or even have him in a wheelchair, which I would do.. Go from 3 to this and have the war raging.
