Indie TERMINATOR 2D: No Fate (Multiplatform) **Halloween 2025

In the Terminator Arcade gun game, if you tried to press the 1p start button with no quarters in it, Arnold would say in a loud voice NO WAY JOSE

This kinda shit is what people who didnt grow up in the arcade era are sorely missing

Yooo that shit was awesome! I went with my family to Universal and went on that 'ride' when I was like 12, I loved it

Yeah, the last time I was at Universal Orlando it was still there. I had a 7 day pass and I literally did it like 5-6 times per day. lol

Btw, that's the vastly inferior updated version with the shitty redone pre-show. They totally ruined it. Someone who wasn't James Cameron went in and "updated" the movie presentation bit with a new voice, new dialogue, recut bits, and "updated" effects. (I was horrified when I found out they did this. It made me sick. It's like Disney where they just can't stop fucking up classic attractions and making them worse rather than actually improving them. How about just leave it the hell alone)
<DisgustingHHH>

Here is the classic masterpiece ORIGINAL pre-show. The one by James Cameron. (timestamped)

And now I feel a little bit vindicated.Nobody is talking about this game anymore. Nobody is documenting their hard mode runs or boss rush runs. The game was running on nostalgia and novelty and everyone has already moved on.

This in no way means it's a bad game, but the price for essentially 1 hour 50 of entertainment was a little silly.

I'm still playing it. But I also bought it knowing what to expect. It's an arcade game. You are meant to replay it over and over. I feel bad if you bought it thinking it was a massive RPG that would last dozens of hours for a single playthrough. They weren't hiding anything. You can watch the promotion videos, they were very clear about this being an arcade experience. I have a dozen or so hours in it so far, I've been having fun trying to get S rank in every level and doing things like boss rush mode and higher difficulty levels. I think Neon Inferno is the better run and gun game I've played this year but this is still a solid experience. I'd give it like a 7.5 or 8 out of 10.

And if we are criticizing the price please keep in mind that games like this back in the 90s were 60 to 70 dollars. My first console was Sega Genesis. All of the classics like Sonic and Streets of Rage were very short games and the price was far steeper. Sometimes I think we as kids did not appreciate the amount of money our parents were spending to make us happy. I think for 29.99 it's not a bad price, probably could have been 24.99 but I'm guessing they wanted to earn enough to cover the licensing fees.

I know what an arcade game is, and I've given no indication that I don't in this entire thread. My point is this is a very short game even by arcade game standards, and a lot of the hype about it wore off with the novelty.

You mentioned Neon Inferno, I'd like to throw up the absolutely excellent Huntdown. Which has largely the same gameplay, but manages to last longer than a slightly extended netflix pilot episode.

In the end I aint gonna bitch too much. Im glad they made it, I wanna play it. $30 just seems like a bit much for a game you can play through once and maybe not pick up again, which admittedly might be a hell of a ride when you do play it. People should have the choice wether they wanna do that, rather than not make the game at all. I am NOT against what they did here, but would feel better paying half that. For $30 you can get some much better longer games.

If it took $30 for them to profit on the effort to put into it, then thats what they gotta do.

The effort they did put into this, is pretty fuckin cool and im glad they made it and when it goes down in price or my terminator sweet tooth overwhelms me, I'll get it. One way or another.

Does it really take effort to make these kind of games now ? I really wanna play this but not to the point ima throw 30$ on it.. thats just too much for an hour of gameplay.. I know there's replay value but I doubt anyone's playing this game over and over nonstop.. they need to price drop to 5 bucks for this so cheap mf like me could play too

I mean if it's guys who really are big Terminator fans and are trying to appeal to fans of a franchise that's 40 years old, there is alot of tender loving care you gotta put into it, and you aint really gonna get it anywhere else. If something you really wanna play is made, then it was worth it they they made it.

Lol yea that's basically me.. huge fan of part 1 and 2.. and the game looks really fun how it synchronizes with the flick, and I really enjoy old school side scrolling games like this, but 30 is just too steep to drop.. dam I'm cheap haha.. I could do 10 but they'll probably do a 20 drop instead whenever it's on sale

This was so cool live, especially the motorcycle. I love the portal effect into the screen, such a creative production. Americans do these things the best.

I'm def going to pick up this game at a good discount, but have any of you played Terminator Resistance? I heard it was really good, especially the DLC, same studio that made the recent Robocop FPS. I meant to buy it on the Steam Xmas sale, but totally forgot. I have too many games wishlisted!

It was meh.

I'd like to get a AAA Terminator game based purely on and around T1 and T2.
