Just watched it again on blu-ray and it still holds up. Ending gives me the feels.

Why it's great:

- The struggle and reward. The characters are never given an easy choice. Because of the struggle, there's payoff to the action scenes:

Sarah escaping the mental hospital. She was abused and seen as a psycho.

Arnold not killing anyone but still escaping from CyberDyne. If he was able to kill all the cops, there'd be no tension because it'd have been too easy.

Characters:

The characters aren't stupid and one dimensional. They all have there reasons, even Sarah trying to kill Dyson.

- The action scenes:

Unlike most of today's action movies, there are no quick cuts. The scenes are easy to understand and badass at the same time. You never get lost on what's going on.

Practical effects is used as much as possible. Action scenes feel heavy and meaningful

The weapons become iconic including the shotgun, minigun and Sarah's M16 (?). Cameron makes everything count, even the sound effects.

Pacing:

The slow scenes build up the characters and shows there motivation. Then it goes to an action scene. We need these scenes so there's tension when the action starts

The score:

Memorable and iconic

TLDR:

T2 is the best because it's a well crafted film.

Yes it is, the perfect action movie that will never be topped, ever.

Pretty damn fantastic movie from beginning to end. Should be considered the GOAT action movie based off the sole fact that it featured Bobby "the gawd" Budnick. This is a very overlooked bright spot of the movie.

1. Die Hard is the best action film of all time.
2. The Terminator is better than T2.

Great Movie I don't know about the best though.

Im leaning Machete, how many other action movies does the hero escape by rappeling down a building with a victims intestines? Rob Zombies shit is right up there too. This is judgement day. T2 is a fantastic action film, havent watched it in a long time.

Definitely one of them. It's one of the greatest sequels ever as well.

Die Hard is better. Possibly the greatest movie EVER

Second only to Jurassic Park, off the top of my head. Both movies are great examples of how to integrate cgi into a film, to enhance it.

JP was one of the first films that came to mind along with T2. They both came out in the early 90's before CGI advanced to the point where they could plaster that shit everywhere to save money (looking at you, George Lucas and Peter Jackson).

Die Hard is the GOAT action movie.

T2 is right up there with it, but its sci-fi elements detract from its pure action-ness.

If you think T1 is better than T2 you need to drink less Ensure.

Die Hard is the epitome of an action movie.

T2 has too much down time, effects that suffer from deterioration because its...a sci fi.

Die Hards only other categorization is Xmas.

Pretty sure it was voted sherdogs favorite movie a while back
