Terence Crawford: I'd never consider MMA. They get paid too little.

I remember seeing Karelin get wrecked

You sound like a Russian trying too spread some propaganda

I am not russian but like wrestling. For me Karelin is the GOAT in wrestling. No one was able to do to his opponents what he did and no one ever will again. Please tell me when was he wrecked? You dont mean the Olympic match against Gardner ? Or the pathetic showmatch in Japan. That was more or less the opposite of wrecked and the end of his career.

Even if he lost, how does that diminish his acomplishments? There are many great wrestlers in the history of this sport. If you prefer annother one as GOAT I have no problem with that.

I also like creative wrestling like from Frank Stäbler european wrestling champ, especially with his crazy jumping attacks.

Alexander Karelin has never been wrecked.

He retired with a record of W - 887 L - 2

No combat sport including boxing will attract top tier athletes in an unrestricted fashion. No matter how athletically gifted someone is, an extreme majority will have aversions to getting punched in the face. Boxing is getting the same kind of table scrap athletes that MMA gets.
Athletes in boxing are a little better than the ones in MMA due to the fact they have a organized amateur system.

Crawford doesn't realize the only reason he's making bank is because Arum is desperate for a big fight between him & Pacquiao, him vs. Postol should be a good fight tonight.

Hes one of t

He lost closely to rulon sooo go ahead and throw those 900wina out the window. As he was exposed by the new breed or something along those lines.

GSP was in the running for GOAT at the time.

Klithscko made $24 million his last fight alone. That's a more comparable comparison
Also consider the youth of the sport of MMA vs the 100+ years of boxing and also their records (GSP 25-2 vs 64-4) and it still compares well.

I thought fighter pay was in the right direction with Brock and Lucky Charms getting big show money.

Then I saw Dillashaw and Sages payouts and it just reaffirms why were lucky to be rid of Zuffa.
Lol ya

Ari Gold is about to bust open his wallet and give everyone raises

That's why they just spent 4Bill on it....

Well, MMA sort of has that except split into a few different sports. It's also getting increasingly better organized as generations pass on.

I didn't do much research on this.

Is he the card's headliner? If so, you can't compare the star to the guy who is 47th on the card. Compare apples to apples.

Crawford used to wrestle and now is fighting on PPV tonight.

Hes getting paid a guaranteed $1.3 million tonight.

If Dana wasnt greedy he would attract A-level athletes like Crawford.

You know who else is fighting on that card?

George "Comanche Boy" Tahdooahnippah

35-2 boxing (hes probably gonna lose tonight)
Kickboxing champ
Top 10 wrestler in USA

If UFC paid decent, they would have another A-level athlete like him

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Tahdooahnippah#Kickboxer

and then you have guys like Chris Algieri, who was also kickboxer and wrestler and gets $1.5m to fight Khan, etc.

UFC missing out on some A-level talent

Boxers make so much more $$$.

Crazy

Crawford is no star. He's a mid-name.

Adrien Broner isnt even Top 10 in his weight class and he JUST turned down a $6 million dollar fight because he wanted $10 million. You cant even make this stuff up. Danny Garcia turned down $4 million dollars a few days ago.

These million$$ are nothing to these guys.
