techniques against much bigger opponents

Color me crazy but all of brazillian jiu-jitsu is based on the premise that your opponent is bigger than you and you want to take him out using technique.

Yes, and this works great unless your opponent is bigger than you AND knows jiu jitsu. In which case it helps to know which techniques are more effective against larger opponents.

I don't have time to write a comprehensive post, but in short:

-arm drag to the back --> RNC
-open guards (learn 'em all - knowing just one ain't gonna do it)
-chokes >>>>> arm locks
-sweeps from the bottom >>>>> submissions from the bottom
-elbow escape from mount
-never let him get you flat on your back
