Team Nurmagomedov's Record

Can't wait for these guys to face some real competition, I'd love to see their style of grappling vs. a Division 1 NCAA wrasslin' champ.

These guys are like Russia's answer to Nova Uniao.

I have no idea the level of competition these guy's have faced, but if they're anything like Nurmy... Lighter weight classes, look out.

Except they're not even russian.

Great camp

It's sambo/grappling based, opposed to Shlemenko's RusFighters that I c they've better strikers.

Hell I was impressed when Khabib scored the most number of TDs in a UFC 3 rounds match against a four-time NAIA All-American, and Trujillo after that loss is on a tear.

The 2008 US wrestling team is also undefeated in MMA with a similarly impressive combined record. It would be interesting to see these bad ass Russians fight some of the 2008 US wrestling team and see whose "0" has got to go.

not anymore, Steve Mocco lost.

Here is a .gif I've made of Islam Makhachev's most recent finish, of Yuri Ivlev at M1 Challenge 49:

Ethnically, no they are North Caucasian. But they do come from Russia, in terms of nationality. For example, many Dagestani wrestlers will move to Moscow to further their careers (such as under the tutelage of 3x Dagestani Olympic gold medalist in wrestling, Buvaisar Saitiev, absurdly well-accredited older brother of the similarly incredible Adam Saitiev) because it's still in the same part of the world, relatively speaking.

Team Nurmy fighter Marat Magomedov looks to continue the streak this weekend at Tech Krep

Everyone has a padded record until they're in the UFC, by that logic.

Bellator, WSOF, UFC, KSW, Dream... There are other orgs also. But anything other is just irrelevant imo.

It's normal for a strong gym to produce several unbeaten fighters (with 7-0,8-0 records)... until they go to the bigger org where they will probably get destroyed with an ease.

What are their records now?
Bekbulat 23-5, 0-2 PFL big leagues.
Abubakar 17-4, 2-2 UFC, 1-1 PFL big leagues
Saygid 22-2, still hasn't made it to a major organization,
Marat 12-2-1 never made it to a major organization
Shamil 12-4-1 never made it to a major organization

Not one decent fighter outside of the legends [<dunn]
