I heard this is being organized by Relson? Maybe jjmuaythaiguy knows about it...

Funny, though, how lots of the Gracie brothers are coming up with their own proprietary events:
Rorion - UFC (originally), IGJJF open
Rickson - Budo challenge
Royce - Fightfest

 

Rhalan is Relson's son who will be making his debut, another relson gracie fighter Phil Cardella (sp) is trying to get on the card.

 

that would be a fun event to go to.

 

Thanks for the link, I live in Columbus and I wasn't sure if this was true until now. I'm deffinitely going to this event. So is Coleman, Baroni, etc. fighting or are they just leading a Hammer House team to fight a Gracie team? I mean, I find it kind of hard to believe Coleman would fight in this show being in Pride and all.

 

I'm sure there will be no renzo, coleman, randleman etc. fighting, just their students

 

Either way, it would be fun to watch. GO GRACIES!

so the submission specialists vs the no submission defense wreslters. if the gracies don't win every fight they should be ashamed.

 

Man, I just looked at the flyer again. When I first saw it I thought, "Damn...Relson, Carlson, Renzo, etc. are going to be FIGHTING?!?!?!"

Yeah Id be shocked if more than 1 HH fighter wins.

 

Actually Coleman has been subbed by two fighters in his career(takada was work) and they happen to be the two best in the biz(Fedor, Nog), and happened when Mark was in his 40's and they were in there late 20's, so I would say Mark has some knowledge of sub defence.


Ricardo Marais, Akiro Shoji and Allan Goes are all Jui Jitsu Experts and were unable to sub Mark.

 

Sorry, I been trying to stay away from the boards to avoid the Pride results but yeah, its on. Its only the students and Relson's son Rhalan. I think I have been mentioning this event since early this year but its official and some of the guys are in Hawaii right now training at the main academy.

I think "lead by" means a Gracie train thing.

 

Apparently it didnt rub off on Coleman who was subbed by a much smaller Sakuraba, nearly subbed like 3X by a smaller Nakamura, and was of course guillotined by submission master Crocop.

anyone ever been to this arena before? im going to get tickets for me and my girl to go, and im wondering if the cheap seats($20-$40) would be decent? also, do you guys think this shit will sell out? im wondering if im going to have to get my tickets soon...
