Teacher's son wears a Hitler costume - Says world is "too sensitive"

People still give a shit about Hitler? Dude has been an endless source for all sorts of jokes among the recent generations.

Hell, he was joked about even in his own time:

Seems that it is the pussy generations in between that can't handle a joke/parody.

I am. I think one of the biggest social issues right now over the top PC culture. A person doesn't deserve to be exiled from society for wearing a fucking costume. Stop being so soft, FFS.

That could be true that over the top PC is a huge problem, while also acknowledging that dressing like Hitler was never a normal and generally accepted Halloween costume.

There are tons of examples of people being outraged over "PC" stuff from throughout our history. I already gave an example with the movie "Soul Man" in the 1980s. Another one was "Death Wish" in the 1970s. There have always been sensitive people who get offended, and pretending like that is not the case is just wrong.

It has gotten worse in regards to certain things. With other things, it's not really any different.

You posted a bunch of people, mostly current era photos, of people wearing Nazi outfits. A picture of somebody wearing an outfit does not imply social acceptance. You know, since most of those pictures of current, that should pretty quickly discount the "if there's a picture, it was generally accepted" theory.

There is a picture of a kid in the OP. Is "Antifa rioting in the background?"

I feel like you're trying to say silly things on purpose.
Its weird because I get the same idea from you. I personally couldn't imagine my grandparents getting their panties in a bunch over a costume.

Smh. She is as bad as mothers who make their kids political pawns on the left.

Gross.

Side note. Hitler single handedly ruined a style of mustache. Is there anyone else in history that we have done that with?

This seems obviously in very poor taste. But if she wasn't at a school event, why in the world should she be fired? The OP seems to indicate that it was at an event sponsored by the local Chamber of Commerce.

Should have went as Stalin, kid would probably have a gofundme with enough money for college by now

Yep. If he had just gone Mao she'd be getting a promotion. But it is easy to confuse Hitler and Stalin given how similar their policies were in certain areas.

A costume is usually done in a joking manner. I doubt anyone wearing a Hilter costume wants to take over the world.

If people take something seriously, they don’t mock it. You don’t see many Jesus Christ or KKK costumes.

It’s all in fun. Relax people.

He also ruined a first name didn't he? Not many Adolfs around anymore.

Quick, need a last minute costume and I just have all these swastikas lying around...

Bunch of snowflakes get upset over anything. No one can be offensive anymore...fuck all that.

What a lousy thing to say. I guess you are not having a family. And I´m not surprised if you are voting Trump.

I don´t know at what age group this masquerade was targeted at. But if they are young, they should dress in outfits that fits their age and what they understand of the outer world. When having an event like this in kindergarten or early years of primary school, you should not as a parent dress your child like in Hitler or KKK. The kids don´t know what it is and it´s the parents who should know better.

When your are an adult, it´s up to you if you want to embarrass yourself with a dress like this.

I see zombie Jesus costumes pretty much every year

1. Italian on my fathers side. German/Spanish on my mothers.
2. 1970/80s

I was actually run out of a store and told they dont serve Hitler babies, my mother had her tires slashed, a brick thrown through our windows and my father and uncles used to get in a ton of fights with them.

@Seano this guy says he was run out of a store just for being 1/4 German, 1/2 Italian, and 1/4 Spanish in the 1970s and 1980s. He was apparently called "Hitler baby" and his mother had her tires slashed, bricks thrown through their windows, and forced to fight.

A guy just said that he was run out of a store and called a "Hitler baby" just because he was 1/4 German, 1/2 Italian, and 1/4 Spanish. Lol.

Do you believe his story? If so, how do you think they'd react if he was actually dressed as Adolf Hitler?

Yeah, but there are lines. As arbitrary as they may be. People absolutely do take Hitler and the Nazis seriously, much like they would the KKK, if you sent your kid out there dressed up as a member.

Like I said, its all arbitrary, but it is what it is. Nobody would bitch if you dressed your kid up as Jack The Ripper, but Hitler is still a no go. If you don't want to play by the rules, well, expect some backlash.

Oh crap. This was in the WR? I thought it was a Mayberry thread for some wild reason. *Runs for cover*
