Tax Returns

I dumped over a hundred bucks at a strip bar...so I have 30 more trips to go.

Relationship to CPA is good, but I've dealt with clients who worked with the same CPA for a few years who were totally clueless and didn't advise them on significant ways to save on taxes. These are the fools who thoughtlessly plug numbers into the computer and print the tax forms from the tax software. Some of these jackasses don't even look at the tax form instructions, which is one of the most basic things to do. Imagine what kind of screw up would result if the client had some complicated issue to deal with where the CPA had to know some complicated tax rules or do some actual tax research.

2100. All going towards the balance of my credit card. 3 back to back internships killed me.

1k, hopefully buying a shitty car off of craiglist or some bullshit side of the road dealership cars

i just realized i spent too much money in november and december. i'm going to have to use my tax refund to pay myself back :icon_neut

Ahh, that's interesting. Yours is a totally different system. I can't imagine it's easy for employers having to prepare tax returns either though, but they should still get their shit together.

I have never seen a reason that any human interaction needs to be involved other than MAYBE at the very end.
Company's computer keeps taxes all year, fills W2s with info as necessary at the end of the year.
Company's computer sends W2s to gov computer, it determines the tax bracket/values/return info.
Gov computer either issues a check to be mailed (human interaction) or deposits money into your bank account (fully automated, digital, and paperless).

So unless you just don't have a bank account for whatever reason, I see no need for paper, mail, or humans for me to get money that the government didn't need to take anyway.
Maybe I'm wrong for some obvious reason that I've never realized though.....:icon_neut

Oh and I'll probably slowly spend mine on things I don't need. I never get any 1 big thing with it. Boring.

Usually get a bit more. I will probably use half towards bills and the other half towards a new gun.

17 day trip to Thailand with 2 of my buddies. 1 is more or less overseas with the army a majority of the past couple years so really looking forward to getting away and experiencing something new. Heard nothing but good things about trips to Thailand.
