Relationship to CPA is good, but I've dealt with clients who worked with the same CPA for a few years who were totally clueless and didn't advise them on significant ways to save on taxes. These are the fools who thoughtlessly plug numbers into the computer and print the tax forms from the tax software. Some of these jackasses don't even look at the tax form instructions, which is one of the most basic things to do. Imagine what kind of screw up would result if the client had some complicated issue to deal with where the CPA had to know some complicated tax rules or do some actual tax research.
