Economy Tariffs for one, Tariffs for all! (doubled tariffs on China)

so you also question how it will “crush” American manufacturing. Seems you agree it may help American manufacturing, tho costing a bit more.

If depends. If it makes products more expensive to produce than they can realistically be sold for then obviously that causes a problem.

Personally I'm not too bothered as from an environmental point of view it'd reduce pollution so I'm not against it.

You seem to have forgotten about the eighth wonder of the world Foxconn panel plant in Wisconsin that was built because of Donald's excellent negotiating tactics.

I guess all the computer manufacturers I work with must have forget to check the box for Wisconsin when picking their plants lol

So now it can be made here and help our manufacturing? Don’t you know how manufacturing works? Where there is demand, we create supply
Let me put this in words your toddler brain can understand. Some types of manufacturing in the US are more viable than others. But blanket tariffs ignore that and penalize both viable and uneconomically viable production.

Manufacturing supply chains are also very complicated. Imagine the lemonade stand I assume you operate on the corner while wearing a helmet, but now think about running it if every ingredient and component of your stand came from different countries and you couldn't just go to your local stores to get them.

It's the eighth wonder of the world. How could they forget?
Maybe they smoked an eighth before they picked their manufacturing plants, and forgot about Wisconsin. You need to be more careful with the manufacturers you work with, they sound like a bunch of dirty dopers.
Fucking hippies.

Yeah, its like shopping online, you got to change the default option so you don't get screwed.

Well at least we seem to be in agreement on a lot of it. May have to cost more to manufacture it, but save costs in shipping, etc. provides jobs here. Regardless, pretty ridiculous to say it will crush the manufacturing sector here, when the only outcome will be stimulating it.

As an aside, I do agree that it is Funny with the climate alarmists that their strategy is to over regular and tax things here so they can ship jobs to other countries who pollute way more, only to ship cheap crap back, especially from places like China in these big ships that pollute a lot themselves and then have an alarmingly high rate of sinking in the pacific lol

A lot more. Also you're at full employment levels...so you're going to have to ship even more immigrants which just strengthens dem voting bases and increase demand for illegals.

Then you also strengthen unions by eliminating foreign options by basically domesticing all manufacturing.

You're also driving up the amount of federal subsidies needed to get all the facilities and infrastructure in place.

Tarriffs to bring in manufacturing dirt countries do just makes everything in the US cost more while tilting the decks towards favoring lefists wants.

I absolutely love the mirror tariffs as should our workers.

How does making things more expensive help us?

It would take years to actually implement mirror tariffs with every country in the world.

You guys have this weird idea that the country itself is somehow involved in trade and deals can be made directly between countries like we're playing a game of civilization or something.

Trade is between millions and millions of private entities all over the world. Not governments.

No man you just press the spawn button to get more workers and chickens it's that easy.

I choose to believe that in this photo he's thinking, see, that's what Putin's penis looks like.

You don’t need to import migrants. You can just get able bodied people off Medicaid. Which is also bigly apart of the Trump agenda.

So that basically negates most of your points

Then when paying less taxes to programs like Medicaid, along with those people working, there will be enough money for goods.

It is almost as if America used to be a manufacturing powerhouse with a strong middle class, who could ever imagine such a hellish way of life

You're first question is misguided and myopic.

Mirror Tariffs make the cost of foreign goods more expensive helping our manufacturing and workers in huge ways. It makes America more competitive against slave labor markets and destroys those slave labor markets. Besides encouraging fair trade, it reduces the trade imbalance (trade deficit), it protects American industries being preyed on by foreign adversaries, it's a huge leverage in negotiations, and it promotes foreign entities to reduce their tariffs against the U.S.A.

You're welcome.

Wow, you do have cottagecheese for brains. You could cut off everyone from any welfare ...hell wheel in granny from the hospice and put her to work and you still wouldn't have enough employees with immigration and thus, illegals

What if you tariff goods that manufacturing doesn't exist for domestically and you tariff goods required to build the manufacturing domestically at the same time?

Why is a trade deficit bad?

How do protect industries that don't currently exist?

Who is going to do all this work when we've been at full employment for nearly a decade?

Trump counts taxes as tarrifs and wants American goods not being taxed in other countries. So if that happens it means he would have to make it so items not made in the US have no tax on them either.

There are about 35 million able bodied adults that could be working but are not. That is more than enough.

I'm not American but isn't Medicaid to help people with health costs rather than a welfare living costs benefit?
