The Dick returns and l he’s not mincing his words going off Paul Dano Why ? As always because he felt like it He didn’t need to but he wanted to. Personally I don’t think the flick is better without Dano and seeming like an uninteresting fellow is precisely why he fit the role so well

Honestly, it's fair. I don't have a particular problem with Dano in TWBB, and thought his frail awkwardness kind of worked, but if there is a weak spot in that movie...

He's right in general. Dano is not a very good actor. He's one note, and when he tries to slip out of that one note, he's terrible. His big scene at the end of "The Batman" made me gag with cringe.

He also looks like a human potato.

I agree. I find it laughable whenever people praise Paul Dano.

Watching him act next to Daniel Day Lewis was like in devils advocate when Pacino had to share scenes with Keanu and his pathetic attempt at a southern accent.

Dano is even worse in that Batman movie. That movie has several flaws but Dano was one of the biggest ones. Just awful.

Dano is an amazing actor going back to Little Miss Sunshine. People who say otherwise want overly masculine actors who can help fulfill their fantasies of being manly men via taking huge veiny cock from masculine actor up the ass and filling them full with manly essense.

Seems unnecessary.

Honestly, QT casting himself in several relatively prominent roles, sticks out as “out of place” far more.
I'm fine with QT's cameos. He knows when to do them and when not to.

Like in Basterds, he would've been completely out of place and distracting to the film, so he did not do a cameo.

But in Django, he fit just fine, and added a bit of humor in the way he killed himself.

Same.

It's short and sweet and it's usually funny enough that its good that it was in there.

I think Quentin is projecting hard here

Not as hard as this.

Dano has the appeal of a wet noodle at the bottom of a sink. He immediately makes me wish I wasn't watching whatever is on with him at the moment.
Though QT didn't have to actually go out and say it... Didn't DDL himself ask for Dano in TWBB?

Exactly.

He takes 15 years to come out and say this now ? Dickmove

It’s like saying you broke up w a particular chick 30 years ago because her pussy stank

Agreed. It would have been better to stay quiet and let the past remain in the past. His response came off as childish and petty—something I might say, not something a director should say. He should have taken some responsibility, given that he was the captain of that ship.

he was the worst part of that Batman movie for sure, but most of that movie ate ass. Even so, this seems like an unusually harsh appraisal. Wonder what else there is to this

I sometimes forget Paul Dano was in The Girl Next Door with Emilie Hirsch.
Most people thought (at the time) that Emilie Hirsch was the next big thing in Hollywood, but Dano overshadowed him Little Miss Sunshine on.

I think overshadowed is a strong word but I do agree he seems to be doing slightly better. I think that has more to do with Emile's actions outside of acting more than anything else though. Dude attacked a female executive, he's clearly got issues.

What if the dude was manic and suddenly did himself ?

Im sure this would have nothing to do with it lol
