Tank Abbott Fans, get in here!

one of the most frequently misused words in the English language. literally.
“The definition of literally is no longer the literal definition of literally. Gizmodo has discovered Google's definition for literallyincludes this: “Used to acknowledge that something is not literally true but is used for emphasis or to express strong feeling.”

Get up to speed @VAfan ....hope you learned something. literally.

He'd be top 10 today. Whether that's a credit to him or a disgrace to the division is up to you.

I'm not a fan of Tank at all but I'm in here anyways.

For the record, he was strong, his wrestling sucked, his punching power was undeniable, his cardio varied wildly but was generally trash, he was slow, his chin was decent but unremarkable, and his submission grappling was weak. He threw punches like a grizzly throws his paws around. He beat no one of any consequence and his biggest claims to fame and legitimacy is giving Oleg a long fight and Don Frye a tough 45 seconds. He gave us some great-looking KO's against limited fighters but always came up well short when put in there with good fighters, never mind great.

He was fun but in no way, shape, or form did he have it all. Not even close.

The Fact Tank gave prime versions of Rizzo, Frye and Oleg all they could handle is pretty telling about his fighting ability.

Watching those fights tells a very different story than just looking at the record or at how those fights ended

watched his fight with vitor few days ago. he got son'd by a 20 years old rio beachboy.

but i agree; one of the old school guys who i am really respecting.

He had potential to be a lot better, his striking defence was pretty woeful for someone who apparently had a boxing background. He defintely had the ability and tools to capture a title back in the early days of the sport but he never really took training that seriously and basically just relied on brawling rather than developing his skillset, cardio & formulating strategy. He was a natural freak though shame he couldn't put the alcohol down.

Not my intention to dispute anything you've said, but I'm always amazed at how poorly he did against Kimbo. I wonder if he was that far off his prime at that time or if the competition really stepped up that much even in the case of Kimbo.

man he was far removed from his prime. Even his second ufc run he was a shell of his former self and kimbo came later.
Kimbo could always bang on his feet.

Drunk Tank was unstoppable.

Deceptive wrasslin, great power, ruthless, agressive, decent cardio and came to bang. Which brings me to one of his weak spots, wich was imo his chin. It held up but not for a guy that fought his style.

Tank was the American-Tong Po

Love Tank he always reminded me of how my dad would of turned out if he grew up in a rough neighborhood.

Tank had charisma and did not need the Colby /Chael scripted bs.

I would rather listen to Tank ordering a beer than a full interview with Stipe.

Yeah, Tank wasn’t playing a character, he loved to fight, didn’t love to necessarily train and spoke his mind.

Tank was always fun to watch. He had some of the best power in UFC history. He just had to connect and it would be over in a flash. However most the time he swung for the fences, didn’t connect, and gassed out before getting TKOed

Not that there's anything wrong with it but is Tank gay?

Gaydar beeper has always gone off on Tank

he reminds me of the bears on 9th and Harrison
