Tank Abbot vs Brock Lesnar

Brock would take it. But if Tank trained for the fight then it wouldn't even be a contest.

Everything you post is fucking ridiculous. Not in a funny way though, but in a really profoundly dumb way.

Do people forget just how bad of a professional MMA fighter that Tank was even in the prime of his career? He beat a bunch of under sized karate instructors, Brock would mop the floor with him.

this is the stupidest question i've ever heard on sherdog, and everybody know that sherdog is FULL of stupidity, so that's saying a lot

Brock walked thru Big Shows knockout-punch last night...so Tanks shouldn't be too bad

I like the idea but I think Tank is a good mean striker and could end up doing this to Brock.

one thing people forget in the "brock vs (hard hitter)" style threads is that Brock didn't automatically fall down and lose as soon as he was hit hard.

Instead his first reaction was to go for Desperation Takedowns

and we're not talking about some sloppy no hope to land takedowns either...these were GOOD takedown attempts.

When Carwin first clipped Brock, Brock pushed him half way across the cage and almost took him down (Carwin pulled a whizzer and barely avoided it)

when Carwin rocked him again (the famous uppercut that made Brock jump) Brock went for TWO takedowns before he turtled.

Against Cain from the time he got hurt to the time the fight was finished, he went for about 3 takedowns and a submission (and earlier in the fight, he landed a takedown as cain was hitting him)

Against Mir, he got hurt by a knee and immediately took Mir down.

Against Herring, he got hit by a solid punch right on the chin and in response he fucking TACKLED Heath Herring--it literally looked like a football tackle.

and of course for every knee Overeem landed, Lesnar went for a takedown.

So it is seriously not a matter of "all (hard hitter) has to do is touch him once!" like people always say. It's more like "all (hard hitter) has to do is touch him once and then avoid the onslaught of takedown attempts and then continue to hurt him a few more times"

way easier said than done

Brawk = Mur > Tank.

Karate instructors > professional wrestlers?

The real question is, who would win out of prime Brock and prime Sapp?

Tank Abbott used to fight for 18 minutes at a time without stopping. Brock gets tired from 4 minutes of fighting.

Sure he would probably outwrestle and smash Tank but it doesnt mean a prime Tank would have absolutely no chance.

Unlike Brock, Tank was a real fighter. 6'0 260lbs and wasnt an incompetent wrestler. He would be a huge underdog but he would definitely have a chance.

Brock would win almost without question... either some sort of finish or unanimous decision.

Tank only has the puncher's chance standing, but he definitely would have a better chance than James Toney had against Randy... only slightly, but even a person having never trained would not do worse than JT, at least they would equal his non existent performance.

It would be fun nonetheless to see, but if I were Brock I'd have another scheduled match right after on the same night for a double payday night, as well as double the record.

Maybe, I'm being a tad over presumptuous, but it can be fun to day dream.
