Depends. If he was a Martha Stewart, sure. Some of these crimes are serious enough, and he's been enough of a shitter w/ bond that theres a pretty high chance that he could wind up in medium security instead. You're right that he's not going to wind up in the biggest shitholes, though.

They don't place you based on how much of a cunt you are leading up to the trial though. I'd imagine he doesn't have anything violent he's been charged with. The violence of inmates is what dictates where they go.

You could have like 20 Class A financial felonies you're convicted of and you'll go to a minimum security essentially dorm.

That's not as true in the federal system. Violence is a big factor in scoring, but it's not the only one. The clubfed dorm-style prisons/camps are minimum custody. Shrelki is in low, likely because of his cunty behavior before sentencing (still not a shitholes). Madoff, who is the perfect example of a shitton of serious financial felonies, is in medium.

He is still in jail though, which I don't think old Paul is cut out for after a life of luxury. He is an old man who walks like he has some back problems, those lumpy pillows and 4 inch thick mats are not going to be too comfortable, not to mention there isn't booze or pills to take the edge off. The stress is going to build and build with him sitting there without a computer or phone, and he already felt like his goose was cooked enough to try to get people to lie for him. I would be really surprised if he doesn't flip.

CNN reporting that Cohen has told family and friends he is ready to cooperate with federal investigators to get the heat off of him and his family. He feels further isolated from the POTUS. He's angry with how POTUS has minimized him. Lol

I remember reading an (unpublished) case a while back about a prisoner who masterbauted so much he started bleeding. The prison has some degree of obligation to keep prisoners from hurting themselves, and there was a question of how much this qualified. Really fucking weird.
