International Taliban prevents 45-year-old man from marrying his 6-year-old fiancé and urges him to wait until she turns 9

It's not the same. Living your life in the image of Jesus vs Mohammed are not the same.

It's just deflection, false equivalences, and whataboutism.

While I agree and lol btw, it’s not the whole of the religion like it is in taliban controlled regions. Pakistan, Afghanistan, and some other countries are really fucked up when it comes to raping children. I guess their motto is “if they’re old enough to crawl, they’re in the right position.”

It isn't any part of the religion. It is criminal under canon law; and for the 3-4% of clergy accused and implicated, a grave violation of the sacrament of holy orders with a heap of mortal sins stacked on top of that. The sexual abuse of children was not part of Jesus' life, ministry, nor the example he set.

This kind of stuff makes my blood boil. I have a hard time containing my anger. I have a 7 years old daughter and the insanity that it is liquefies me. The trauma that a little girl that age must endure in this situation is inimaginable. 6 freaking years old.

One of the solutions would be to help them develop economically, a lot of those parents feel they are obligated to "sell" their daughters because of extreme poverty conditions.

From the article:

"In the same year as the Taliban came to power, after the US' heavily criticised exit, a nine-year-old girl who was sold by her father to a 55-year-old man as a child bride was rescued by a charity.

Parwana Malik was sold for the equivalent of £1,600 in land, sheep and cash to a stranger named Qorban so her father Abdul Malik could pay for food. "

That is really really sad. Freakin tragic.

I read those Twitter (also known as X) messages. Throughout the years that I've been posting, a considerable amount of folks have wondered why I always mention nuclear bombs this and nuclear bombs that.

Gee, I wonder why I always say nuclear bombs.
