I hope not long considering that dumb 'do
Who you pick him against? I’d say since he already took out Sandhagan by finishing him I’d pick him as the favourite. Haven’t seen what TJ looks like yet so I’ll reserve judgment. And I think he could sub Cody if he doesn’t stand and bang.I think he defends at least 2x
You really think Cruz will be anywhere near a belt or top 3 spot after his performance last night? Dude is beyond doneHow long do you predict Aljo stays champion? Does he make a successful title reign? Does he get taken out by another Bantamweight? Does he get a rematch with Yan, and if he does can he make the adjustments to retain his title?
Personal opinion: he can probably retain the belt against Sandhagan and Cruz, but I think Yan smashes him in a rematch, probably in more brutal fashion because Yan is pissed.
Your thoughts?
That’s why I said he could be him lol. I only use him because the Bantamweight top 10 is so fucking stacked right now I’d say there’s some people I could see being champ very soon. You really think Cruz will be anywhere near a belt or top 3 spot after his performance last night? Dude is beyond done
Actually thinking about it UFC fighters don’t get a salary. But that’s not as funny so I’ll ignore it. That said champs probably get better sponsorship allowance or outside fighting promotions. Like Monster Energy, CBD oil, and so on.
...you would have to pay me a great sum of money to get in Petr Yan’s bad side and I outweigh him by 50lbs and have 7 inches of hight. He gives of serial killer gives my dude.Aljo will lose in the immediate rematch. He looked absolutely silly in there. He has some kinda mental block because he had zero composure in that fight.
Ah okay. aljo looked kinda silly against yan and will def lose the rematch. The performance was very theodoreu-esque I was very surprised by it.That’s why I said he could be him lol. And barring any adjustments Aljo makes, I see him being beaten by Yan in a rematch and I’d even say finished in the rematch.
Idk Onnit already coming up with a tear duct and facial bone reconstruction supplement. You really think sponsors are going to be lining up to offer Sterling their money right now?
Hey man champs get paid more than others.![]()
Well yeah, I’m not prognosticating it because of time I’m basically asking how many matchups does he get before he gets beaten. Aljo seems like a nice guy, but I’m not expecting a GSP Mighty Mouse or Jones type reign, especially after the circumstances he obtained the belt.I think all these replies have the right focus and the OP has the wrong one: it's a matter of who he fights, not how much time passes.
I'm no oracle, but I don't think it's in his best interest to be asking to fight Cejudo.
Damn man that’s rough. I guess he doesn’t have as much personality is Izzy, and isn’t an elite gamer like MM to get endorsements from outside companies. Not necessarily...
Sterlings contact isn't up for renewal. He certainly won't get PPV points either. The only time champs make more money is from an endorsement perspective or if they are a champ when they renegotiate their contract "or" if they are a huge draw before becoming champ and can force the UFC to pay them more.
Sterling doesn't qualify in any of these areas.
