It might of been a factor no doubt. But it was the 4-5 round and by then they’re tired and tunnel visioned so I don’t know how that would/could effect it.Anyone else wonder how loud the commentators were speaking during the knee incident? Was their commentary audible in the octagon?
I'm just picturing the whole incident, Aljo concussed on the floor starting up. Dead silence in the PI. And you can hear Joe yelling out, illegal knee, his knee was down, his hands were down. Then DC "this could lead to a disqualification. Hey this is Jones Anthony Smith, but Smith took the high road. What will Aljo do?" Their voices just booming out for everyone to hear.
I remember in a previous card a fighter was literally reacting to Bispings commentary during the fight because it was so quiet. Would be interesting to know.
The UFC Brass ain’t even hiding their contempt.According to the UFC rankings, Peter Yan is still champion.
Atleast Aljo has the picture right
Trolling at it's finest
No bias whatsoever here...He'll be champ until Yan gets his hands on Aljo again.
If Yan can't beat that bum in the rematch, I'll quit Sherdog,
I think he bests Yan next time and Cejudo as well.Who you pick him against? I’d say since he already took out Sandhagan by finishing him I’d pick him as the favourite. Haven’t seen what TJ looks like yet so I’ll reserve judgment. And I think he could sub Cody if he doesn’t stand and bang.
Ok follow up question. If Aljo is to keep his title, what adjustments do we think he should make in either a rematch, or against a new opponent that studies the Yan fight to exploit weaknesses?
He needs to not keep ending up out of position. He kept giving his back to Yan,and getting tripped down. Yan never bit on going to the ground with him so whatever they were trying to do w that did not pay off at allOk follow up question. Goodies headache powdersYou really think sponsors are going to be lining up to offer Sterling their money right now?
How long do you predict Aljo stays champion? Does he make a successful title reign? Does he get taken out by another Bantamweight? Does he get a rematch with Yan, and if he does can he make the adjustments to retain his title?
Personal opinion: he can probably retain the belt against Sandhagan and Cruz, but I think Yan smashes him in a rematch, probably in more brutal fashion because Yan is pissed.
Your thoughts?
