Taekwondo is super disrespected

Well that’s how they usually look there’s not much to gage it on ? That’s a supposedly pro boxer as well once you close in on a style reliant on kicks it’s over ,I wouldn’t see a different outcome really if you put the majority of taekwondo guys who don’t actually fight but point spar in this setting they are severely out matched .

Any martial art is useful Im not against any form but any style reliant on kicks with sub par striking abilities ( individuals differ ) are already at odds winning against competent opponents in the ring or on the street .
I don't think the TKD champions would win, but i bet they are more tricky, not that easy

I think those styles who don't fight even in Point Fighting like most of Kung Fu and Aikido are not useful

Point Fighting gives you timing, the real speed of execution, keeps you in shape

Fighting is one thing there is not a particular style. Machida had to make karate work for mma and he deserves respect for sticking to his style he is one of the only people in the modern era to be able to do that. That said he had to drastically make amends to karate for it to work.

I really admire what Yaiir has done to bring TKD to the forefront and making the discipline seem rightfully dangerous.

Most Korean TKD artists bring tournament style into MMA and that’s a lost cause. Too much exposure after certain moves

Yair does TKD in a steeet fight which actually works all thanks to his athleticism and ability to use elbows which keep him dangerous well after typically vulnerable TKD movements

You have to have the right build and athleticism for it to work but I agree.

Taekwondo fighter breaks Muay Thai fighters ribs, this was pretty insane but not surprising as I already mentioned about the devastating effect of the back kick, this is how TKD is supposed to be used with aggression.

This is no joke. Having long legs and arms which Koreans don’t normally have is massive.
When you have long legs theres more power potential but its a longer path. Easier to avoid.

The koreans that were hand picked as demo players had long legs. so it can't be that rare.

TKD is great in the you learn how to maintain distance. Fighting is not one style but if you understand fighting then you can incorporate TKD and it will be effective.
