While I am actually a fan, I have two issues with Woodley:
1) He makes proclamations about being an exciting fighter (see the leadup to Wonderboy fight #2 - he said that he was going to leave nothing to chance and fight to finish). Ultimately though, he ends up fighting (ultra) conservatively, and then gets upset when fans don't show him love.
2) He thinks he should command seven figure pay days. While there is something to be said about wanting fair compensation for being an elite fighter, at the end of the day, fighting is about entertainment. Most people don't buy PPVs to see Woodley fight. I don't think he has the drawing power to anchor a PPV, and in alot of ways, he is like Mighty Mouse. Being a great fighter is not the same as being an exciting fighter.
As an addendum, the thing that actually bothers me the most about Woodley is that he has all the tools to be headlining fighter, but he is just too afraid to pull the trigger. In both of his fights with Wonderboy, I wanted to scream at the television for him to just go for it. When he did, he almost got the finish.
