Since we are a couple of Swedes who write on this page, it would be a good idea to have a thread on information from Sweden and immigrants. Threads have been created before about Sweden that has been heavily exaggerated, such as that it would in some places resemble pure war zones. At present we have not lost the fight against the criminals and in the next few years, 10,000 new police officers will be appointed, since we have a small police force in comparison with the rest of Europe.

You could appoint a billion and it wouldn't mean anything because they're not allowed to arrest criminals. Listen to Sam Harris' podcasts on Sweden and rape.

It is easy for an outsider to dispose of things like naivety. Replace it with decency instead. As @Bald1 said a while ago, I know deep down that I have gradually changed my approach.

With that I want to add that it is one thing to have a cordial discussion about sensitive things that you have insight into, and the opposite that thrives on this site in the form of people with zero insight and only has information that you have read that is in line with their own perception of reality. And these I mean are purely racists who only see different looks than their own as the driving factor. And there are plenty on this site.

However, the decency that I mentioned has created contradictions in every aspect of our institutions. Contradictions created because we dare not talk about sensitive topics. And being able to make demands without being branded for it. A control system that has gone so far that ordinary honest people in distress have difficulty confirming their ailments because our society has become such that we question everything that has to do with compensation.

We who work in the police, hospital, school, social and labor market institutions have a good insight into our reality and wish that the politicians could dare to talk about it as well. Perhaps we could then counteract the bad forces in a more powerful way. But the longer it takes and as long as we have the spirit of being the best and nicest in the class, people with bad intentions will use our country in the roughest way.

Now I mention Denmark again. I wish that the social democrats in Sweden could follow in the footsteps of our neighbor's party. Being able to talk about things that are sensitive, such as to be proud of our own culture and our way of life, without being called a racist.

I'm glad that the conversation has moved past accusations and towards honest dialogue. The fact is PC culture isn't compatible with reality. And reality can be ugly and surprising to people who have lived all their lives in the most peaceful and prosperous societies we've had to date.

Yes, honest discussion is something i ask for. I am of the belief that if you do not have a sensible discussion about this then it is created more racism, and it is something I have noticed of more in Sweden. We have become more racist and it is not about the neanderthal in the deepest cavities in the country, but ordinary people in workplaces who talk quietly. And I can promise you how much the police are holding to keep the mask so they don't say what they think. Just within that work that has had a lot of strokes from scornful and provocative kids has become more hateful.

It's a mess and sad is it.

I think it will help towards a more secure future for our species as well as other things. I've always believed a nationalist mentality will be dangerous when we start inhabiting new planets and exploring more of the universe. Like when Europeans discovered the Americas. Our species is evolving and as technology advances we will become closer and better to warm up to it now. I'm not saying we should bring in a load of immigrants. We've seen the pictures, read the articles, watched the videos, heard from people in Europe that things are getting bad.

Much can be said about Sweden in regards to the lack of integration, rape, youths robbing Swedish youths but at the end of day, one thing will forever change the destiny of this country and it is demography.

In 1960, 4% were of foreign background, in 2018, 29% were of foreign background. In the age group of 0-44, those with a foreign background made up 1/3. That is the group that is going to produce an offspring. According to research, 50% of the children are being born to a mother of a foreign background.

When integration doesn't work with a Swedish majority, then what will happen with a minority-majority? People don't magically change their intolerant views from their native countries when they land on a Swedish airport.

If you add the abysmal track record of few immigrants in the real work force and you have the perfect recipe for a welfare that will erode faster than Askren's brain cells after the bell sounded against Masvidal.

The Swedish politicians recently voted for increased migration by making it easier for relatives to come here so all the talk about stricter migration is merely soundbites for the ignorant.

I hate being a defeatist but two things never lie, debit/credit and demography...but at the end of the day, this is what Swedes want. They have voted for this despite reports coming out from as early as the 60's about foreigners being over-represented in crime and many reports came out in the 80's about the lack of integration. This can only be interpreted as that Swedes are either the dumbest people alive or this is what they want.

I really don't think Swedes have a real say in this 'destiny' that is being installed for them by international politics. At some level they do, but when the powers that really pull the strings and change the political winds over time are intent on re-engineering and dissolving the cultures and nations of Europe and Scandinavia for their globalization and empire schemes it doesn't seem that resistance to it is that effective.

They may not all be granted citizenship but the politicians recently voted to make it much easier for relatives to come here and around 50% of those that are denied asylum remain in country illegally.
