This place is wild. Let's look past the inmates who are probably horrible POS and just discuss how terrible your life would be here.

23 hours of confinement per day, no interaction with other prisoners, and your time outside is 1 hour inside a cage. Fucking brutal. That has to fuck you up over a life time in a major way.

LOL,

People, especially americans, couldn't even handle a month or so of being asked to stay home to help stop the spread of a virus. Even with every damn luxury at their disposal.

Granted, they're not doing time but still funny as hell.

imagine the amount of pocket holding that goes on in there.

Got nothing on a siberian gulag

USA needs some gulags. Surprised there are none in Canada with all that empty cold frozen land in the north

I’ve been on Sherdog for 10 years, a supermax can’t be any worse.

How is this any different than your mom's basement minus the internet?

i dont understand why if we are to punish some irredeemable piece of shit, why not just kill them right after the trial, why are we wasting so many resources keeping this shitbags alive, waste of resources

Don't really see the point in some cases if the end game is rehabilitation.

Others deserve it... like el chapo.

Because the justice system gets it wrong quite often, and death is final.

When they started using DNA evidence a huge number of people who had been executed ended up being proven innocent.

I imagine a Siberian Gulag would offer far more oppertunities to end things yourself.

I don't really think you can cite humanitarian reasons as a justification for this place existing. It seems more likely to me that It exists as a place to dole out maximum punishment to criminals they were unable to have executed.

The wiki has a list of some of the prisoners there.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ADX_Florence

Some of them convicted of espionage don't exactly look like the typical high security prisoners.

I'm not.

I'm saying we make mistakes, a lot of them, and you can't take back an execution.
