Superman vs Hulk

Literally no way for hulk to win other than plot induced stupidity. Superman is thousands of times faster while having ranged attacks and flight.

The only Marvel Hero I'd bet against Superman would be The Sentry. Who is basically the result of Marvel taking the piss out of DC by creating a character who's even more OP than the Big Blue Boy Scout.

I was talking about a one on one, physical fight, but yeah Richards, Strange etc would curb-stomp Superman. Given he's almost as skilled in Magic as he is in Science, I'd give Doom a puncher's chance as well. And Thor with the Odin Force would be a tough bout for Superman.

Juggernaut could match Superman in strength and durability, but he's nowhere near as fast, and he can't fly. Kind of a stalemate as there isn't much Superman could do to hurt him either.

I don't know if Superman can resist Telepathy. If not, Professor X makes Superman his prison bitch.

In these comic book battles, it seems like the answer always depends on who's writing the story. Like others have said the Immortal Hulk could probably go toe to toe with a lot of versions of superman, and technically Hulk has no upper limit to his power, but I'd generally say Supes. Of course both of them would probably lose to the most dumb OP power there is... Reality Warping.

Plot induced stupidity is why supes is so strong now, with NO explaination why he just keeps getting stronger as the villains and other comics characters do, just to keep up.

He was “able to leap tall buildings in a single bound “ aka couldn’t even fly originally.
And faster than a locomotive. Then a speeding bullet. Etc etc.


his powers have grown simple to keep up with other characters with no reasoning beside plot stupidity as you put it for him to get OP stronger everytime.

At least with Dragonball the Sayains constantly train to break barriers and get stronger. They aren’t just “given” new strength with no explanation.

Also Saitima would ko supes with “One Punch”...

I used to really like Superman as a kid, and their constant over powering him with no explanation kinda turned me off on him.

Plus all you would need to do is take him to a solar system without a yellow sun, like back to krypton for example, and he’s not much stronger than a normal human.

Superman is boring, he just is, with his overloaded power set anyone can think of a way for him to win any battle. There is no real drama with that guy.

As far as his fight against the Hulk, I always just thought Superman could fly the Hulk into the sun and leave. The Sun is burning gas, so the Hulk cant jump off, and the gravitational pull will keep him locked in the Sun's center. Hulk burns until the Sun collapses and then he sucked into a black hole.

Nope, that's wrong. Read Action Comics #1. That says nothing about our yellow sun. Apparently, it wasn't until Action Comics #262, over 21 years after Superman's debut, that our sun's effect on him was first mentioned.

Superman can resist mind control. Hes not impervious to it. Also his brain is Alien as well. Superman doesn't need to beat someone like Juggernaut though. He can just put him on Space where he has nothing to push off of to gain momentum. Just leave him there to rot in entropy.

One thing that always rubbed me the wrong way when watching the contemporary Avengers movies was Hulk portrayed as Diet Hulk. No way Alphas like Hulk or Thor should take a back seat to one of the other Avenger super heroes when it came to battle scenes. Stupid.

Plot induced stupidity is a very specific term with a specific meaning in comics. It means one character fights like a retard, often completely forgetting to use their powers, so a one sided stomp can be written to be competitive. As far as power changes go, they're quite common in comics. These are very old characters that are regularly reinvented to attempt to reach new audiences.

This is hardly unique to Superman. In fact the hulk has had numerous versions himself throughout the years with different abilities and power levels.
