Just watched the Extended Cut a couple nights ago. Still give it an 8, but the extra scenes definitely help the movie. I kind of expected more extra scenes TBH. Even with them in it, it's still a mess. I really think they should have held off on this movie for a few years. Should have introduced them in the various heroes movies/Justice League. The Suicide Squad would have benefited a lot from having seen these characters before.

just watched this a couple days ago. it was decent. i think it is better for someone like me who does not know anything about the characters since i have never read comics. therefore, i had no expectations for the characters. i just came to read all the pre-movie stuff and holy hell were they off on almost everything they reported on

It was decent but I'd much rather re-watch Assault on Arkham.

Spot fucking on.

LMAO @ "Heath Lesser"

An unmitigated turd.

Failed in every single aspect. David Ayers - 'Fuck Marvel!' No, fuck you dude, you wrote this in 6 weeks; it felt like you wrote it in 6 hours; script should never have been green lit - turgid.

When you look at the dynamic, inventive, fun stuff Marvel have been doing, DC come out with this shite. 15 years ago this film would be crap, it's dreadful by today's standards - not 1 single decent action scene; DA FUK was all that shit with the witch and her brother? Simply terrible.

Will Smith - fuck off. Viola Davis - fuck off. Climbing guy - most insulting movie role ever; instant shit death. Absolutely no cohesion in group of characters - each one handled more embarassingly than the last. Attempting to give each heart/back story was interminable - noone gives a shit about these characters.

Joker - I wanted to like him, of course, but; now Leto might have given a great performance, but it would've been lost in the terrible shooting/editing of the film. We'll never know. But the Joker was actually pretty bad and cringey.

The only fun to be had in the film was Harley; not worth watching the film for.

How anyone can rate this film above a 6/10 is beyond me.

Made B v S look really good imo (I liked that film anyway); don't let this sour you on DC I think they can still salvage something with characters we actually like.

4/10

I just tried watching it again.

I remember actually enjoying it in the cinema. Hell, I ranked it a 7 in this thread poll. Fuck knows what I must have been thinking!

Fuck me though, this time around, it just plays as so dull.

I liked BvS, I still do, I enjoyed the extended cut a lot. As much of a mess that film is in places, which it really is, there is enough there that is enjoyable, at least to me, that outweighs the shit.

This though, even with the added Joker scenes and stuff (I didn't finish the film, only got about 1hr 20 in and, that was a task), it is just a mess. And I hate saying that, as I am a big DC mark.

I am disappoint. Like @DM1982 said above, though, I am not gonna let this sour me on what DC can do. Geoff Johns is their version of Kevin Feige now, right? With any luck, Justice League onwards will be better.

It was bad. Watched the extended version and it was very bad. Really wanted to like Leto's Joker but it was just not there, did not feel like the Joker at all. Just felt forced and he was neither scary or entertaining.

Margot Robbie was the highlight and killed it as Harley.

Will Smith played himself... Again.

Captain Boomerang was entertaining though.

Rick Flagg had his moments and was a good role for the most part.

Enchantress should have flat out murked them all though.

Viola Davis played the role of Waller pretty solid.

All in all.it had some entertaining parts but also tons of just bad parts that did not work.

Croc should have been much bigger. I like the Arkham asylum portrayal, hell even the Batman the animated series portrayal better.

Over all it was a 6.

For some reason, I still haven't rewatched BvS fully. I stopped around the 15 minute mark. I find it a chore to watch again I guess. Not even the BvS extended cut compels me to revisit it.

Which is fair. I understand people's problems with that film, I personally enjoy it.

The extended cut shouldn't be reason to revisit it, though. It doesn't fix the bad aspects.

Worst movie of the year, by far. I went in with the attitude of, "It can't be as bad as some people are saying..." and I left the theatre wanting my $5 back.

Whatever studio produced this turd should he ashamed.

Finally got a chance to see this. Saw the extended version (no idea what the differences are). Woof. That was bad. The constant use of pop music was awful, and the editing was not cohesive. Also, the script sucked. It's like they had an idea written on the back of a napkin and then just improvised the whole thing.
