IMO, to be successful means at least 150,000 per year after taxes, hbb wife, play golf and discuss stocks while smoking cigars with captains of industry.
I know people that make over a mil a year, but work 60 hours a week that define themselves as successful as the amount of money they make matters to them more than their free time. I also know people that work make 60k and only work 20 hours a week and consider themselves successful because they cherish their free time over making more money. I know people that define themselves as successful by the legacy that they leave behind for their family.
5 years ago I considered myself successful when I got a good job, nice vehicle and was living comfortably after growing up dirt poor with fuck all. Here I am 5 years later with all those same things but I don't feel the same way, nor am I as happy as I was at that time. So to me I guess I would say success = finally achieving peace and happiness.
No such thing as feeling successful, the more you have the more you want and the desire for more never ends, I guarantee you Bill Gates sits awake at night wishing he had done some things differently
Hm difficult question and not one I usually think about it. As many awesome lovely relationships I can have with others is high on my list. Strong body, mind, spirit are also important to me. I think if you succeed at those first two material wealth is a natural and effortless consequence.
No. I think success is defined individually. For me its a combination of financial/relationship success and its more or less intertwined. I have large appetites. I want several large houses. I want to travel the world. I wanna sleep with exotic women in exotic countries. I want nice cars. I also wanna find a good woman to settle down with one day. I wanna have good relationships with my kids and family. I also want spiritual happiness. So for me real success is a full spectrum deal.
