Well, there are negatives and there are positives, just most people have them confused. If you're smart, you can pretty much figure out what the stupid people are confused about, and tell what the positives and negatives are and can be, they're pretty obvious.

That said, the single most effective weight-loss drug EVER is nicotine. Fact.

I'll take your word for it, I'm apparently stupid in this regard, lay it out for me. Seriously, I'm debating my thoughts on weed.

On the "single most effective weight-loss drug EVER is nicotine." tip, sure it's great for weight loss. But the mechanism I, and most people, have used to get it, (smoking) has crippled my ability for other weightloss mechanisms, like running stairs, Saturday basketball, looking forward to long dog walks, et al, just like weeds fat cell inhibition is overridden by eating a box of Twinkies and playing PS3 all night. Right?

Give me dubs before the hammer. I'm serious in my questioning.

stock only healthy food in the fridge before you blaze. problem solved.

my munchies typically include stuff like cottage cheese with frozen berries, carrots dipped in peanut butter (usually microwaved with a little honey), protein pancakes etc.

the only problem is that there is a place which sells $5 pepperoni pizzas between my house and trader joe's. that's where the willpower gets tested.

It really depends on the circumstance and person. It cannot make you something you are not, only bring out what you are.
As far as physiological effects, though, I don't believe that there are any negative effects, only positive ones. What we've been told in public schools through anti "dope" programs is false and misleading.

true, but usually that is due to a desire to compensate the oral fixation which is missing. they start eating more to get over their habit of always putting stuff into their mouth.

There is nothing wrong at all with smoking weed from time to time, in my opinion any well adjusted person will enjoy it thoroughly. Unfortunately there are many, many things wrong with most people, and weed makes an easy scapegoat for all sorts of problems that really have nothing to do with the herb itself.

The dirty, stoned loser in his parents basement still would have been a loser if he never picked up the bong, or whatever substance of choice people would blame for his wasted life. He'd have spent his days as a mindless, soulless drone doped up on Prozac or Ritalin instead.
 
I'll be preforming a scientific research on the effects of THC and controlling munchies shortly. I'll report my findings here if I can remember them afterwards...

I don't believe he said anything about cigarettes. NicoDerm makes gum and patches.

On a side note, I have to air out a few things about munchies and weed. I don't agree with what everyone is saying about how it makes you eat crap. It's just like anything else, if you surround yourself with crap, you're going to eat it. Seriously, when I get high I snack on carrots and spinach dip. I know the dip isn't the healthiest thing in the world but it's far from a twinkie.

Good point, this is the problem with alot of stoners!

They smoke weed so now they can blame their lazyness and failures on the drugs!

The fact that we have people like nick diaz tearing people upwhile smoking budz 24/7 debunks alot of the myths about the herb.
 
haha i try to eat healthy, until I get in my car and drive to the del taco 1/2 a mile away.
 
All about willpower man. You can force yourself to eat cleanly while stoned. Hell, you can beat the munchies if you try. Just get something to drink instead and you'll most likely be ok. Hell I got stoned earlier and went and did intervals/core work. Just gotta have disciprine
 
Not that i smoke week too much anymore, but being that i never have any junk food in my house, i usually max out on healthy delicious stuff when blazed.
 
I used to smoke weed when cutting weight for wrestling. If you are dedicated, its not going to stop you from eating healthy.
 
They actually made a drug called Rimonabant that works on the same receptors that Marijuana does, but instead of being an agonist, it's an antagonist. So it would take away a persons appetite but at the same time it would give people suicidal thoughts, whereas Marijuana makes you hungry and gives you pleasurable feelings.
