Economy Study: Middle Class Is Over

And I cringe every time I have to pay 250 for mine. Never making this mistake again, if I cant buy it with cash it's not a car worth having.

0%, 1.9% gets people to buy cars the can not actually afford IMO

Oh, I can afford it. I also know I am pissing money down the drain on it. I'm gonna stick with old beaters from here on out, cheaper to fix and easier on the wallet up front.

If that’s within your means that’s awesome. I doubt that’s the case with everyone or even most

Able too afford payment still doesn't take into account how much you piss away on interest.

Average monthly car payment in this country is $515. The average monthly credit card payment in this country is $189. That's $704 leaving the house every month for shit thats losing value. Another problem Americans have is financial illiteracy.

Person#1: How much did it cost?
Person#2:. It's $3000. The paymets are only $50 a month! I can afford that easily.

End result: $3000 flat screen is going to cost $6k.
What in the shit eating fuck are these idiot assholes doing with their life if those numbers are right?

we need the government to step in and tell us all hpw to stay classy

My car is an 08. It costs me 0 dollar a month. Though I did replace a fuse. Should have 3-5 left in it before I have to do any real maintenance. Meanwhile everyone I know is making sure they have one good car, on new monthly payments. Of course they’re also still making payments on the other one. Everyone I know is like the styrofoam cowboy hat scene in dumb and dumber

I really hate this statistic because it in fact shows how well people have it now. If you want 'affordable housing' go back to the 50s where the middle class family of 4 lived in an 800sqft house.

That statistic whether you "like" it or not is based on current market conditions and what is available to home buyers. Not being able to buy a home is not a measure of how good people have it. Housing has changed, so have jobs. We can only deal with current markets.

Current market conditions are that we do more work, faster, and better than previous generations for less money and with a much greater cost of living.

If the middle class isnt dead, it's dying. Like isn't a factor.
