Media Strickland looking lean a few days out from Saturdays match

Guys, I think Strickland is ready to go to a war come saturday. He might be a live dog here.
holy crap. thanks for the heads up. strickland should not be such a big underdog. im surpried hes not the favorite here tbh. he seems like a stylistically bad matchup for fluffy and has much better experience. what am i not seeing... the big winstreak fluffy is on?

im not going crazy, but i put 3 bills on strickland here

Fluffy has a bad habit of dipping his head and swinging wide on his one-two's, and I think Sean's going to make him pay for it. If Sean uses the Philly shell, I think Fluffy runs straight into Sean's jab all night long. Sean's got no problems going 5 full rounds, his TDD is better than people give him credit for and he's not easy to keep down.

I like the fight, and I still the winner's going to get the nod against Khamzat.

Gonna get wrestle humped for 4 rounds then submitted.

Fluffy doesn’t even have that great of wrestling. He just outcardios people with shit cardio like Pereira, Allen, Shahbazyan, Vieira, etc.

Allen was handily out striking and out grappling him when he was fresh.

He's also incredibly durable. I don't think fluffy is going to beat him with cardio

This fight sucks for Fluffy, I wish it was not him fighting Sean but maybe it will not hurt his future chances as Sean has already beaten everyone except Khamzat. (Alen, Imavov, ddp once, Jared (he kind of was robbed on that one), Acosta, Izzy. Holy shit he has beaten basically everyone.

People ragging on someone because he has a good jab and uses it well is bananas, we live in a very strange world.

Hell yeah, I'm with yiu on this one. Maybe a few teep kicks too just to really annoy them
100% brother, nothing but solid jabs, teep kicks, then some more jabs. and then maybe the last 5 seconds, he throws down like super hard core.

then gets that unanimous win.

rounds 1, 3, 4, 5 and everyone argues over round 2.

How many times have we seen guys come in ripped later in their careers and it doesn't change much?? Just thought that was interesting... even at their peak physical condition you just can't beat age.

I think Sean is a very tough fight for Fluffy. Hernandez is going to have to get him down and wear on him, control the cage and dictate the pace. Sean is going to pepper him all fight long and if it stays standing he's in trouble. Everyone knows what these guys are best at and what they'll look to do.

I'm interested to see if Hernandez can wear Seen down and bully him. Strickland may be a try hard idiot, but he's an underrated fighter on the boards. He's no easy out.

It's an interesting fight because neither guy really has fight altering power capable of disawaying the other guy-- both are guys that break opponents down via accumulation of output or pace. Im expecting a very competitive fight, probably a 48 - 47 regardless of who wins.

Oh boy, if that happens the live discussion thread is gonna be salty AF.

Meh. Sean is a can on the mic. He's always running his mouth, yet he's the same guy literally crying and asking for mercy when he can't handle it as he takes low hanging fruit shots at women and anyone else who will bring him the attention he so badly needs.

That said, I appreciate Strickland's talent as a fighter. Through his defense and boxing, he's shown that his overall striking game is incredibly underrated around here. The guy continues to utilize the same tools to great effect regardless of his opposition. Yes, he's lost some close fights as he is a volume striker who doesn't wrestle and isn't in possession of great power, but it doesn't lessen what he's doing. It's kind of impressive.

And honestly, so is what Fluffy has done, bullying guys who are likely a bit more skilled than him but can't impose their will or break him. I think it'll be a good fight.
