Strickland is gonna be champ soon

He protects his head really well to be honest. He isn't out there getting dropped or wobbled every fight like gaethje was for years
DDP has been wobbled in a lot of his fight. Plus he has 33 kickboxing bouts. I'm a fan but I'm not seeing what you're seeing. His style is fun though.

I never said that. I said he has less heart and dedication than DDP. Who would you say has more heart and dedication, Sean or DDP?
I'd say even for dedication, both do it to the max imo (they're both gym rats). Heart, I'd go with DDP even though it's hard to judge heart. They've both been tested and neither has ever faltered that I'm aware of. It's just personal opinion really. My bad btw, I misread your post. I haven't slept so I'm running on fumes right about now.

No worries all good bro.
And yeah that's a good analysis. I'm basically just going off intuition based on their personalities. But yeah I suppose Sean is quite dedicated and maybe it is even with DDP. And I'd for sure go with heart for DDP too just based on him seeming more confident and mentally solid/seems to have more mental fortitude. Like you wouldn't imagine DDP breaking down and crying ever over being made fun of. But that can be fueling too for some.

What's your opinion about who would adapt better to the others style? That's probably going to be the real teller. Both guys have very strange styles but I think DDP will figure out better how to solve the "style puzzle" better than Sean. And DDP seems to have more tools too.

I hope the odds are close so I can put a big bet on DDP.

I don't think Dana wants to hear Sean's mouth anymore. And he tarnished the "brand" putting duct tape on the belt and what not. He didn't appear to like his short reign.

I only recall him being slightly stunned by till and brunson. Then years ago against soldic, obviously. Do you have other examples that I'm not thinking of? The guy is landing significantly more than he is eating. He's pretty clearly not as hittable as everyone is making out. He's also very clearly been improving each fight. He's far better than he was against tavarez, for example.

Man, DDP probably could adapt more since Sean only has one fight mode. Sean can only win via a decision as well, while Dricus can win by KO, Sub, or decision, take your pick.

One thing Sean has going for him is that he's sparred so damn much he's seen literally every style numerous times. Whereas there's only one style like Sean's, you can't duplicate that weird ass shit, you could maybe get close though. Lucky for DDP he's seen it, advantage DDP for sure.

I know a bunch of people don't care for this fight, but I'd be pretty invested, I'm intrigued.

You can't say that Sean has no heart or dedication, dude. Sean literally doesn't drink, smoke, or go out at all. All he does is train 24/7, more than most actually. Also he has more heart than most of your fighters. Don't be telling bullshit falsehoods just because you don't like someone.
good post, but personally, I agree with what he said about adapting. Sean wont adapt.

Maybe your right, my memory is shit. I remember the 2 you mentioned for sure, that might be it actually.

He might try, but the question is can he even adapt? I think the answer is no. He isn't going to become a great offensive wrestler or a diverse kicker overnight. He's got one approach, and he almost never changes it. He'll try to fine-tune that approach, which I think we say him do against costa with more teeps. That's what his coach keeps saying will make the difference against dricus -- more teeps -- but his approach will be fundamentally the same every fight.

Dricus has the more adaptable style. Also, younger guys almost always win the rematches as a general rule.

I'm Thinking he doesn't have the depth to switch things up at this point.

Do you think sean will shoot take downs to change the pace and perception of the fight?

I don't I think so. I think Dricus will go to grappling Earlier than he did in the first fight.

I think both guys will try to go to the body more often, as it's where both of them are most susceptible. I'm not sure if dricus will try to go to the grappling more than he did first time as sean did a good job getting back up each time. If dricus does go for the takedowns, I expect him to try them in the center of the octagon this time. Or maybe dricus will try to save his energy and just put pressure and a striking pace on sean that sean doesn't like.

Who knows, but the main point here is that dricus just has far more options.

Is the fight even happening? I know it's still early, but we talking like Sean vs Dricus is signed and delivered, meanwhile Dricus is saying Whitaker is more deserving. Lol

Sean is all talk and no bite, he has zero chance of beating DDP.

I think we all know if Khamzat beats Whittaker, he gets next.
