I basically capitalize on players that whiff attacks, or attack carelessly. Have drawn out battles with defensive players... and get blitzed by people that really know how to apply pressure and punish.
 
You should always try to improve some aspect of your game and have a primary goal other than winning. Go into a match, and focus on nailing your anti airs, or not dropping a specific combo, or punishing a certain attack. Don't worry about wins or your rank. Worry about getting better and the wins will come naturally. This also prevents you from getting discouraged. As long as you completed your goal, then you were successful regardless if you won.

For instance, I've been focusing on anti airing and using v reversals. During my matches with @RJ43 , I v reversed every ex jaguar kick I blocked. This stopped him from taking control and put me back in the driver's seat.

I really want this game but all the complaints and how bare it is is unacceptable. Mkxl has double the characters, wich each have 3 diff variations, living towers that change hourly, so many modes and things to unlock its ridiculous. I can't believe capcom did this shit. I had mkxl since day one and still have modes I haven't even tried yet because of everything else it offers. Netherealm must had been pissin their pants laughing when they checked out the competition.

GGs man. You had me dead to rights a few times. That bazooka knee had me all kinds of fucked up.

I think you have a good mixup game, just need to work on those optimal punishes. I got hit with a few EX jaguar kicks and I think those can be followed up for free.

Yeah I have a hard time adjusting on the fly. Going to start focusing on hit confirmation and frame data

If that is all you want in a fighter, then buy it. But if you want anything else, then wait for capcom to add story mode, and trails.

I went through the typical growing pains today with F.A.N.G learning some match ups and per usual I get eaten up by Gief's pretty consistently I always hated that damn wrassler.

Yeah sorry about that, been having a hectic work schedule lately, haven't had time to game really, I'll have to see if I can squeeze the matches in in the next 2 days.

I also was getting worked by bazooka knee from @RJ43 but I looked it up and it's 0 on block, so I could have done more to stop his pressure.

Yea that's great and all but SF is just completely differenty from Mortal Kombat. Mortal Kombat has always been fun to play casually but it's never been a fighting game I take seriously. The fighting is just way to stiff and unnatural to me and just plain not as fun. All the modes they have is awesome but I don't ever play single player unless I need to get a costume, training, or servers are down.

I've always been under the impression that SF has more balanced gameplay than the MK games. That's why it is more popular among the hardcore FGC. I've never been able to transition well to MK games with the exception of MK vs DC. I actually got up to 30th in the world at one point playing that.

@MUSTKILL, have you noticed two different play styles when we're in battle lounge? My best bud and I switch off playing you when he's in town. He's a lot more aggressive than I am and doesn't understand the concept of 'whiffing'. He also refuses to learn the simple concepts of his fighter. (ie: cr.mk > Hado, distance, ect). A lot more sporadic I guess.

I've been working in the lab setting CPU to random block to work on my hit confirms. It's helping so far, but I still have a ton I need to work on. Doing my Hado's, and Sho's to the left is giving me fits so I need to do those a 1,000 times each side. I'm also still having trouble doing my cr.HP in Sho consistently. It always ends up being a cr.HP > Hado and its aggravating.

Props to the guys spending time in training.

@Gref I'll be on later tonight, but I'll be in training for about an hour or so. You always hit me up right when I jump on and I'm not even warmed up!
