Movies STREET FIGHTER (Sneak Peek, post #280)

I love Walton Goggins, and he's exceptionally versatile, but he is not the right choice for M. Bison.

rethinking the casting, Koji makes a good Ryu and Reigns as Akuma can work with some makeup. Mamoa has that cave manish look to him but I still think this is a star power grab.

Mamoa might be the producers appeasing the studio.

"We'll only fund your videogame movie if Mamoa is in it. And write a part for Jack Black while you're at it"

I'd rather see a Dark Tower reboot with Goggins as the Gunslinger.
Only if it's a miniseries and they more faithfully adapt it.

Some of King's work is better if it's less faithfully adapted. Some isn't. I think the Dark Tower series is one that should probably stick closer to the source.

Btw Toquinho should have been Blanka, he's even Brazilian, dude got the intensity and hunger lol

I don't really like his writing, though it looked much more lucid in Fairy Tale ... I didn't finish it because I made the mistake of buying the clunky over sized giant book rather than a small compact travel worthy one.

Most of the time it's like ... okay you made some good points Stephen but can you stfu for a bit

what pisses me off about SF movies is that they have the potential to be great but every time we get a shitty half assed one we have to wait another decade for another.

Was about to tag you lol
Yeah that was a good call. Hes a good pick but I wish there was a good actor that was big and looked the part. Whenever they try and just add big dudes that can't act it turns into a B movie and never does well.

Yeah, he doesn't look imposing, as far as his build is concerned. But he comes across as a soulless madman, sometimes, so shouldn't be difficult for him to play the role. At least they didn't ask The Rock to fill the role

No doubt haha. Love the dude but doesnt act the part.

That's what I was thinking, David Harbor, he got decently ripped for Hellboy he could pull off the physique imo
Harbour was just wearing a rubber muscle suit for Hellboy.

When Ron Perlman was Hellboy he was in his mid 50s but they were his real arms with a fake body prosthetic.
