Strange commentary on Arlovski vs Vanderaa

They were talking like the striking differential was close or Vanderaa was outlanding Arlovski as deciding factors of him taking the rounds, while it was mostly from Wanderaa's knees to Arlovski's thigh in the clinch. Stranger still, it ended up being a split decision.

To me it seems like exploiting ambiguity in understanding what are deciding factors in a fight, equating some strikes to be equal to head strikes as seen fit for the narrative.

Arlovski dictated the fight and landed the cleaner, harder shots but arguably lost Rd 3 due to fatigue. Split Dec was not terrible but a bit dodgy. Bisping had a shocker. He's usually not too bad.

The commentary was absolutely horrible. I'm glad Ping failed so miserably on this PPV, hopefully he gets relegated back to contender series. Living scoring a fight while commentating, yet not paying attention to the fight, instead talking about his own career. Dogshit podcast commentary.

Bisping should never commentate another PPV after that night. Like you said, if DC is the one to bring you back down to earth you're doing a shit job.

You guys have to stop taking commentary so seriously, they are there to make the fight seem like anything could happen. You'll really notice it with the boring WMMA fights that you're about to fall asleep to the pitter patter punches, while ex-champ DC is clamoring about the power in their strikes (I bet you he really isn't impressed either), but they are there to make the fights look good.
