Yes, 100%. But also, all the stories that came out during the election inoculated the masses to this sort of thing, in regards to him. Unless you really just want to shit on Trump, because he is Trump, why is this even an issue? This is not worse than stuff that came out during the election, unless you don't know how to read between the lines, or extrapolate things. It also happened years ago.

Comparing it to Clinton is foolish, because that happened real time, during his presidency. How is the stress with it all unfolding, his family, etc going to affect his job. This happened years ago.

How about George Bush going to war over false information, and evidence about Cheney and all that? I am pretty sure that was a big thing, with lots of documentaries, memes in the infant stages of the internet, conspiracy theories, and everything else that goes with it. But.. nothing happened, and now George Bush is looked at as a good guy. I don't think him having an affair would have matter much, outside of news companies trying to make money off of headlines.

I think Bush paying a porn star hush money would have been a massive story. He was the Christian president that got advice directly God, if I remember correctly. Or Obama, with his squeaky clean family image. The only reason why it's not a huge deal with Trump is because he is a sleaze, and that's nothing we don't already know.

I'm not saying that I care what affairs Trump has, it really does not mean anything to me. I'm just commenting on this idea that the media is just picking on Trump because he's Trump, which I find ridiculous. Trump gives the media 20x more dirt to talk about, which is his own fault, and they give him a pass after like a week for stuff that would have haunted anybody else for years.

The political mistakes that the Bush/Cheney team made are a different type of story. The mistakes they made actually had serious consequences for our country, not TMZ affair stuff.
 
So I’m not reading through all six pages here but on page 1 it says that she said it didn’t happen how are we on page six still talking about it happening?

I suppose I'm not following your hairsplitting between affair and an ongoing series if encounters with someone who wasn't his wife, some of which involved sexual acts.

That is exactly it tho. This has nothing to do with how the country is run.

Moreover, something with serious political consequences didn't really have any consequences to the politicians involved.

So what are people doing with this story, what do they expect? They are using it to just further feed into the hatred of their fellow Americans, who are the party of family values .

It does nothing but further polarize things, and fuel the shitstorm.

I only call liberal posters out on the bullshit, because I do think they tend to be smarter... But then... Well, look at this forum.

Now here's where the argument comes in...

We all agree we do not know the details of his marriage, what he gets hall passes for etc.

It is very obvious their marriage is not a normal one.

So to apply the usual terms to their marriage is a bit unfair on our part.

I don't know what his Prenup says... Do you?

Aint much difference between his marriage and the one alex jones just got out of.

I agree, nothing comes out of all of this except more divide, and it likely has no effect on his ability to govern at all. I'm just pointing out the silliness of the claim that it's only a story because it's Trump, because I think that's pretty much the opposite of the truth. It's a story because Americans and the American media love sex scandals. If it was any President other than Trump, it'd be even more scandalous and even more talked about. Also, lol at either party being the "party of family values."
